Now there’s a real misrepresentation. What gives you the idea that any of us worships the Bible? Did any if us ever say that? Nope, and we wouldn’t because it isn’t true. In fact, the whole “ bibliolatry” meme was developed by liberal theologians to drive yet another wedge between Christians and their Bible. No Christian wants to be accused of idolatry. We don’t worship objects. We worship God, and we tremble at his word:

And there is a divine sort of hynosis, but in context, it is not the type of hypnosis nor does Roy explain it such as the one that we know. Jesus did His father’s will...just as we do as we are saved into His army. That is a blessed compulsion t odo right once we have CHOSEN His world! Oh my...I have to say you are described quite well by the quotes that you have brought here by Roy. Very sad. What a waste of a soul..unless you wake up someday.

nice try there...I have never ever known Roy to be affiliated with any Buddhist meditation and you linking it there somehow with no reference to the source is just more of the same that I get from you so called Christians. Why don’t you try being more honest.
Roy often talks about how his Be Still is quite different that the eastern meditation and is actually biblical. That is true, there are no chants and no suppression of thoughts, only the watching of them. Far far different.
This is what the Be Still is...hardly the eastern mantra type...quite the opposite...
MEDITATION
How It Works
Imagine that you have gone to the movie theater and we are sitting together. As the movie begins, you get caught up in the action and, before you know it, you’re living the movie. Lost in the imagery of the movie, you feel the action and react to the excitement of a kiss, a chase, or a fall.
If I hit your arm and you react to me, it breaks the imagery of the movie and you remember that you’re in the theater. Not only is the imagery of the movie broken, so is the emotional bond that held you. The power of the imagery fades away into nothing.
The Be Still & Know exercise works on the same principle. Simply put, it breaks the endless loop of thought sustained by emotional energy. It sets you free from re imagining the trauma again.
Your thoughts rage into a battle, keeping you confused, lost and emotionally charged, and worse yet, causing you to seek escapes (to feel better, e.g., drugs, alcohol, sex, outbursts).
Being aware is effortless. There is nothing to study, nothing to learn. Just be still, aware, and the reoccurring images with their assorted pains wither away.
All you have to do is sit in a straight-backed chair and listen to the exercise. The narrator, Roy Masters, walks you through it.
(As you sit, you’ll become aware of your hand and it’ll tingle just a bit until a thought pulls you away and the tingling stops. It’s a mini-battlefield between being in the Movie [caught up] or the Audience [aware].)
Day-by-day this simple Exercise breaks the shackles of your mind, and you’re no longer reliving the past. As you see it, and watch it, the thought will simply fade away.
Mr. Masters’ exercise delivers results. It is not an escape just to make you feel better. It is designed to set you free; empowered.

Of course he rewrites portions of the bible to suit his purposes. He will have his place in hell with his demons.
Fabian, listen to yourself. You are neglecting the Bible as the holy Word of God because of translations, which do not necessarily change the doctrinal meaning, and textual analysis, which you reject, enables us to see errors translational faults, while you replace the Bible as the holy word with your holy revelations from your subjective experiences, which are not subject to proof by anything!
Thus your constant refrain when confronted with Scriptural refutation, is that we are not esoterically enlightened as you! Nor as explained, is that what is meant by the spirit versus the letter.
And indeed the Bible itself is holy, sanctified, set apart, though it uses common paper, for as shown, even unbelieving spouses and family are sanctified due to the presence of one believer. (1Cor. 7:14) And thus the Temple was also holy, due to what it contained, though only made of earthly elements.
And the Word of God is alive, (Heb. 4:12) and the Scriptures are the assured, established Word of God, being wholly God-breathed by the Holy Spirit, (2Tim. 3:16) thus that which provides the word of God is alive by the Spirit. And it was by Scriptural substantiation that the itinerant Preacher from Galilee established His clams, as did the apostles, while Masters is a false apostle.
Nor was anything taken away, despite Da Vince code theorists (http://peacebyjesus.witnesstoday.org/thedavincicode.html), but the Divine writings became established as being of God due to their unique Heavenly qualities and conflation with what was prior established as from God (even though the church of Rome historically largely hindered literacy and free access to Scripture), while the rest remained relative obscure.
As for Masters, he is much akin to other cultists (from J. Smith to Eugene Swedenborg) who likewise made similar elitist esoteric claims, and which discernment is what we “get.”
And Masters does not even need the sandals to decieve !
Thank you for posting some of the unbelievably sinister imaginings of a man so far removed from the truth that he is in a whole different universe. I didn’t think I should have to pay $10 a pop just to get a download of his various “statements of faith” - normal Christian teachers post theirs for free. Reading these excerpts, I got a strange sense - almost as if I could hear a voice hissing out the words - like a snake. Gave me the chills!
It really is surprising how very little it takes to seduce some people away from the truth. “Believing the truth in a wrong way.” - as if!
