Video from the Smithsonian of what must be octogenarian Confederate veterans calling up the past.
Yep; they’re thick around here, too.
I can shut them (coyotes) up by whooping back. Once them southern boys starting coming you better be ready to fight.
They were under-supplied, under-fed, etc. but they weren’t no punks.
The ‘rebel yell’ was nothing. Now, the yell of a band of ex-wives...THAT will make a grown man wet himself with fear!
Good find! Thanks!
1) We deserve Obama, because we’re the worst sinners since the Constitution was signed.
2) Civil War will invite invasion from China/Russia/clients during the confusion leading up to the transfer of power. Our EneMedia will make sure it IS televised, so they will know.
I won’t be comforted when the EneMedia/Democrats are lined up and shot 1st for being traitors.
Right, but based on one person’s yell. I was saying if they had gotten two or three or four examples and used them in the simulation it would have been even more interesting.

Bashar Assad, President of Syria, has killed several thousand Syrians to preserve his government. The Syrian “rebels” want to overthrow it.
Abraham Lincoln starved to death and murdered 360,000 Americans rather than let them form their own government in their own states. His words were “ I cannot let them go”. What he meant was that the Union could not sustain itself without Southern tax revenue. The slave issue was written in by the victors to cover the actual issues.
If Bashar Assad is a muderer for killing his own to subjugate them what does that say of Lincoln?
Bump
I’m no fan of slavery- there are better ways to pick cotton.
But- some of the Founders (Jefferson among them if I’m not mistaken) were cool with the right to secede if things “went south”, so to speak.
Preserving the “union” under oppressive conditions worked, but has left a bitter taste many still remember through family lore.
We are all created equal. There is no guarantee of equal outcome.
Holy crap that was funny... (what you said, not JR)
Something that was so close to being lost forever.
We have it now. I can’t help but think about those young boys so far from home; not knowing if they would ever see their mama again.
But fight they did, like banshees.
Someone let out an Indian war cry during the Joint Session of Congress following 9/11. I’ll bet it’s been scrubbed from every recording you might hear, but I was listening live and I know I heard it.
Hoka hey- it is a good day to die!
Watch an episode of “Call of the Wild Man” and I guarantee you’ll hear a classic rebel yell. (Big Turtle Man fan here!)Watch an episode of
Sounds like me today wailing on our resident South bashers who without me looking are sure to be trolling this thread looking for getback from whitey
I wonder how many Americans died at Andersonville and Ft. Pillow to name a few places.
Dunno - maybe sounded like Slim Whitman singing “Indian Love Call” like in Mars Attacks??
That’s... a bit ironic.
The War of Northern Aggression some call it..
In the second grade, my teacher called it the “War between the Americans and Yankees”.
