Initially I was a Cruz supporter, but as the campaign rolled on and I found out that Cruz is a trial lawyer, I was skeptical, but I still supported Cruz, because he said the right things.
Still, though, saying the right things cannot hide your initial background, a trial lawyer=community activist.
As in all elections, the choice is the lesser of two evils, and a businessman is a lesser evil than a trial lawyer.
A question, which is better, a smarmy lawyer, or a smarmy businessman.
My answer the smarmy businessman, at least he/she creates wealth, while the lawyer sucks the life out of wealth.
“haven’t even done any volunteer work or given a contribution.”
Oh, a fence sitting “moderate” then.
LLS
I would vote against Dewhurst just for his ridiculous attack ads.
I intend to work HARD to get him out of Austin.

Some of us “smarmy lawyers” are also businessmen. We also do nothing without clients and many of us protect wealth more than “suck the life out of wealth”
Dewhurst is a stutterer.
Your point is...?
I voted for Cruz because I'll choose a conservative over a moderate "establishment" every time!
I agree, too many RINO’s , again I have to hold my nose and vote for the lessor of two evils. Early voted for Cruz. ditto for Romney.

I can’t admire elDewhust for campaigning the way he is. Making himself look very small.

Oh like that lawyer, John Roberts.
I betya Harriet Myers would have voted the right way on Obamacare, but nooooooooooooooooooooooooo, she was too "liberal".
I was in the Houston area for business this past Wed-Fri. Had to do 6 hours of driving from Houston to South Texas Project and back.
In the car, I heard LOTS of Cruz-Dewhurst ads (while driving on a state road with a posted speed limit of 75 mph!). Each one was trying to explain how conservative they were. Heaven.
I got back to Connecticut and the first ad I saw was a guy running for the House explaining how he was proud to be a liberal (even said “That’s right, I’m a liberal!”).
Who ever loses, could you send them up to Connecticut?
Mark Davis is NOT a Conservative.
Rachel Maddow is "intelligent" and has the educational records to show for it.
That doesn't mean I like, watch or agree with her! It's just a fact...she is intelligent!
And I voted for Cruz.
IMO, Dewhurst would be just another what we gripe about that we need to get rid of in Congress. Why put another in office?
Dewhurst would be another John McCain...and one of him is toooo much! Dewhurst would be constantly "reaching across the aisle!"
Yet he supports Ted Cruz.
I’ve seen enough of Dewhurst over the past dozen years that he won’t be getting any votes here. How he sleeps at night over his lying ads is enough to send even the most unaware voter running to Cruz. All the votes in this house have gone to Cruz.
What’s your point? I was correcting you. Anyone w/ 1/2 a brain supports Cruz.
Michael Berry is a conservative radio host in Houston and is a BIG Cruz supporter.
