Well, now I'm a believer.

What I saw this evening tells me that there IS something out there that isn't a star, isn't an airplane and definitively isn't a normal fluctuation in the atmosphere.

I noted a "star"? in the SSW at about 30 degrees from the horizon.

At first I thought it was just a star jumping around due to atmospheric fluctuation. After a few minutes I noted that it "jumped" from time to time. About every 3rd or 4th jump I noted a second light jump with it and then immediately return to blend with the brighter object (star)?

I spend a fair amount of time in the evenings looking for satellites passing over and then checking with my NASA satellite tracking program to see just which one it was.

This was not a satellite. I don't know just what it was but it was not normal. Stars do fluctuate somewhat from time to time, but in this case ONLY this one was fluctuating and none of those nearby moved one iota.

It continued for more than 15 minutes or so until I couldn't strain my neck anymore.

It wasn't a star. If it was the ones in the immediate vicinity would have been jumping about in the same manner.

What it is I don't know but I'll make a educated guess. I won't tell you what I guess it was but I did want to report this for the purpose to elicit though as to what kind of object could possibly act in a manner independent from ALL other objects in the night sky.

It stayed relative to where I first viewed it.

It didn't streak across the sky - it merely "jumped" from spot to spot. The smaller object did seem to streak in response to the brighter objects movement (and) it always fell into the glow (behind or beside) the larger object.

I will post this and see what others might have to say on the subject.

Maybe one of you will have thoughts on the subject that might be of interest.

My sister, I, and some friends saw so many definite UFOs when teenagers that I remember once spotting one and my sister said something to the effect of "so what, who cares". She had become bored by them. We use to flash our car lights at them to get their attention and try to communicate with them. If I remember right, as it has been many years ago, they also seemed to flash lights back at us as if to acknowledge seeing out attempts at communicating with them. They moved backwards, and forwards and stood still, could fly and disappear in a flash and apparently turn off their lights and seem to simply disappear. They fairly often were in groups and also often seemed to become one from several, linking up with each other, or coming off from another, so as to appear like one becoming two.

They even came close, and were amazing to look at. One, my sister and friend saw right over them, was like looking up into a faceted huge crystal. They thought it might swallow them up, but it didn't do anything to them. The one that I saw close was a huge triangle with colored lights going through tubes and lighting up globes at each tip. I ran after it, clapping my hands to try to get it to notice me. I actually thought it would be cool to board it. It apparently noticed me, and though it was hovering, it suddenly took off. I watched it fly faster than I could imagine and disappeared in the distance in just a flash of time, much, much faster than anything known that man had invented. It than came back, as if to take another look, and then left again. I think, maybe, it was taken back at the little, she person actually running towards it, through the corn field, trying to get it's attention.

I think that they were the ships of demons and possibly at times, angels. I was saved when I was 19. For some reason, God allowed us to view the ships of demons and angels, likely in some sort of way, contesting over our souls. He wanted us to see them, or we would not have. I think, if we had not seen them, I being such a skeptic, probably would not believe that there were such things.

I was maybe 18 when I never saw one again, unto this time.

We experienced a coronal mass ejection over the last 24 hours which compressed the earths magnetosphere below the level of geosynchronous satelites. It is still ongoing but diminishing. It exposed them to increased solar and cosmic radiation and may have played a role in what you were seeing. Something akin to ripples of heat rising off of hot pavement causing a distortion of objects viewed in the distance. I have no clue but that’s my theory.

The peak of the magnetic storm was 6/16 when one CME caught up to and combined with a slower moving CME. The storm's effects lasted a couple of days. On the link above you can look to the archived pages over the last few days. Here is an entry from the 17th.

It took me about 36 hours for my mind to clear (or for any drug to clear my system) but someone definitely intruded in my apartment, made threats but my mind was so messed up that I could not make sense of any of it. I have never had any drug stronger than Marijuana (and that was WAY back in the mid 60's) and whatever I ingested definitely was not Marijuana. It was 100 time worse and made me paranoid as hell.

I have no Idea how I was given any drug. It had to have been done covertly but the method of delivery I have never figured out."

It could be a subjective appearance. This is easy to say, and never satisfying, but I think it is often the case. Even in mundane situations you can be caught where you misinterpret something as a bizarre object, then quickly realize what it really is and have a little laugh over it.

My thought in this case is that if it were moving slowly enough, and if this was indeed what you saw, it could appear to jump ahead as its position changed. Not particularly convincing, I know, but things like this do happen.

Also, this satellite was in view for only about 5 minutes. If it’s a candidate at all would depend on the timing, of course. I’ll just add that if I run my Starry Night at 300X real time at any location and time, it shows satellites jumping around like popcorn.

But you SURE are quick to pass judgement.
Little minds never learn that there are some things that require travel and study of facts. Just because things don’t happen to you indicates that you don’t go where things are happening and if you did you wouldn’t have the insights necessarey to make sense of things. Just because you never experience such things, does not mean that those things do not happen.
Keep you mind narrow and continue leading a shallow life.

I have been to Gaugamalla where Alexander The Great Defeated Darius. Alexander had 25,000 men and Darius had well over 160,000 men. I studied his techniques and the actual battle ground. I have done more and seen more than 99.999% of the people on this planet living today.
