GOOD MILITARY MONDAY TO AMYS PLACE!
The Soldiers Code
1) I am an American fighting man. I serve in the forces which guard my country and our way of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense.
2) I will never surrender of my own free will. If in command, I will never surrender my men while they still have the means to resist.
3) If I am captured, I will continue to resist by all means available. I will make every effort to escape and aid others to escape. I will accept neither parole nor special favors from the enemy.
4) If I become a prisoner of war, I will keep faith with my fellow prisoners. I will give no information or take part in any action which might be harmful to my comrades. If I am senior, I will take command. If not, I will obey the lawful orders of those appointed over me, and will back them up in every way.
5) When questioned, should I become a prisoner of war, I am bound to give only name, rank, service number, and date of birth. I will evade answering further questions to the utmost of my ability. I will make no oral or written statements disloyal to my country and its allies, or harmful to their cause.
6) I will never forget that I am an American fighting man, responsible for my actions, and dedicated to the principles which made my country free. I will trust in my God and in the United States of America.
President Dwight D. Eisenhower, August, 1955.

Jaycee, I saw Meg’s beautiful post to you and send my good wishes to you too. I had not been on FR for 23 days and have missed a lot, and I just noticed you have been missing.
Prayers for you, that you are well soon. No reply needed, I was just thinking of you too.

Do you really have a rose like thatYes ma'am. It was deep in the middle of the bush on a short stem and had no leaves to it. Cut it and my daughter took the photo. I found another one yesterday but it didn't have as much yellow in it. It too was hiding.
Have no idea how it happens but nature sure is interesting! :)

Thanks, M.
Can you explain how something like that happens? I sure can't! On the other side of the yard I do have a yellow rose bush but don't know that it has anything to do with it. Just weird!

Amazing, huh? I have a white Althea, with the purple center. Occasionally seedlings sprout up and I let a couple grow. When one finally bloomed it was blue!! No lie, as close to blue as you can get. I love it.

I’m like that too, Meg, I can spend hours searching for images. Glad you are fine and your daughter has some help.
I had a strange thing happen this past week. I stay logged in and one day found myself logged out but decided to browse without logging in. I have such slowness here that it sometimes takes a minute to post or change pages, but when I was logged out it was really fast!!! That just really puzzles me - a lot.

Peacocks And Their Kin
June 12, 2012
Male peacocks are resplendent creatures with iridescent blue-green plumage and elongated trains tipped with eyes colored in hues of gold, red, and blue. They are strikingly beautiful birds, but they have ugly feet!
To be honest, most of us have some type of physical limitation. It may be something weve borne all our lives or one weve recently acquired.
Paul described his deficiency as a thorn in the flesh that kept him humble (2 Cor. 12:7-9). Three times he asked the Lord to remove it, probably thinking that he could then serve God better. But the Lord assured him, My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Paul replied, Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
One of the ironies of faith is that God often chooses us to accomplish His most important tasks despite our imperfections, not because of our speaking ability, looks, or fitness for the task. Missionary Hudson Taylor said, God was looking for someone weak enough to use, and he found [you and me]! When we find our strength in Him, He can use us in ways we could never imagine (v.9).
Lord, I have many weaknesses. Please show Your
strength through me by using me in whatever way
You please. May others see You at work in me and
praise Your name. Amen.
Gods strength is best seen in our weakness.
