Obviously drinking gallons a day of any water is bad for you, but the difference between tap water, spring water, de-ionized water, and distilled water is insignificant.

Drinking distilled water by itself is bad for you .

Distilled water is electrically active and will attach itself to minerals in your body and leach them out (well that's the theory anyway). Once you combine it with something else, all those little doodads that want to attach to something (electrons or something like that) get attached to something and it is no longer bad for you.
