A spiraling prostitution scandal that has highlighted the dearth of women in the agency that protects the president and dignitaries has many wondering: Would more females in the ranks prevent future dishonor?</p><p>Only about a tenth of field agents and uniformed officers are women, a shortage some attribute to travel demands that can be especially taxing on women balancing families and careers. A scandal that risks portraying the agency as unfriendly to women, however, could set back efforts to close the gender gap.</p><p>"I can't help but think that there would be some progress if there was more diversity and if there were more women that were there," said Rep. Carolyn Maloney, D-N.Y., of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. "When you have a diversity of people there, it brings more accountability. What you see is a lack of accountability in this."</p><p>Women make up about 25 percent of the agency's

So when the guys break the law, demonstrate dereliction of duty and shame the citizens of the USA, let's bring in more police women. I've got a better idea. Let's have the wives dole out the punishment, because it would sure be stiffer than anything Napalitano's going to give.

Excuse me....
Wasn’t a black woman in charge of the South American unit?
Paula Reid?

I thought it was a disagreement between women and the Secret Service that was causing all of this hoopla.

I don’t give a shit about how many women are in the Secret Service, vis a vis forced quotas, let the most qualified PERSONS be given the jobs...

The other day, I saw a not-guilty courtroom verdict in which the mother of the deceased victim was so upset she pushed aside a female court officer with no problem. It took a male to subdue the mother. Very unlike what is aired on scripted television shows.

...let the most qualified PERSONS be given the jobs... Everybody knows it is RACIST to hold Eric Holder's people to the same standards as everyone else.

What is the sense in having a SS if we can't force an equal employment issue on the tax payer with it?
Besides, we have a clusterf*** that needs to be put down for 0bama in an election year.

Yes, Ms Reid is in charge of the region where these affairs took place, but they hauled big Sis up to answer questions about it.. only because Ms reid was black, she could not be held accountable for her region..and big sis looked stupid with her comment that this was an isolated incident... and now she has been made a liar as more allegations come forward..

all I can find about her are slobbering kudos to her for catcing this and taking action.
Looks to me like things got out of hand, was going public and the only thing she was in control of was damage control.
How do we know it wasn’t partly because of a complete lack of leadership for the past few years.
And just what were Ms. Reids qualifications for that leadership position, other than her gender and race?

A. The Secret Service have always been an operation of the Treasury Department.
B. The TV fantasies, which continually picture women as being fully as competent as men, in close quarter, hand-to- hand combat, represent the Alice In Wonderland view that the Left brings to an understanding of human life. It is not something on which policy should ever be based.
C. Pretending that men & women are interchangeable is a very good indicator of some form of mental illness. Nothing could be more absurd--or more insulting to both men & women. (See Women Hostage To Contrived Delusion.)

Putting women in police/security roles that qualified men should be filling gets people killed. Political correctness and diversity be damned, this stuff is insanity.
The poster child for this is Brian Nichols and his crime rampage after overpowering a grandmotherly Fulton County Marshall while in the Fulton County Courthouse.

If there are “not enough” - and who determines this and why they have authority to decide this? - women in the Secret Service,
IT’S THE FAULT OF WOMEN. They either are not applying in large enough numbers, or are not passing the background checks, or are not passing the tests to become an agent, or are not willing to work the hours and schedules.
Government bends over backwards for women. They beg them to apply and say they will get preferential hiring over others. Often they give them extra points on exams. They are promoted faster in government than men. If they are not in a certain area of government in large percentages it’s because they don’t want to be there or still can’t pass the requirements to be there.

The addition of women to the Secret Service, as with Congress, will make it more ethical and transparent.
Just ask Pelosi, Boxer, Clinton, Murray, McCaskill, Murkowski, etc.

If there were more women in the secret service then the men wouldn’t need to hire hookers.
To: ImJustAnotherOkie
Most men don’t use hookers and most hookers are female. What are we to conclude?

That may be why most men don’t want to be secret service agents.
