(((((God Bless!)))))
In August 2009, Blair and Ronna Martin lost their energetic 9-year-old son Matti when he was dragged to his death by a family cow. I had a chance to meet this Kenai, Alaska, family and share in their grief. And I know how tough this tragedy has been for them.
I also know that they are seeking Gods care and comfort for their pain. An observation made by Mattis mom is valuable for anyone walking through one of lifes valleys. During one of her down times, Ronna was reading 2 Corinthians 1:9, which says that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead. She felt as if Jesus were telling her, Ronna, I know the journey has been too much for you, and you are bone-weary. Do not be ashamed of your exhaustion. Instead, see it as an opportunity for Me to take charge of your life.
When the journey gets too tough to navigate, 2 Corinthians 1:9 is a reminder to us that we dont travel alone. We have the help of the One who showed us His power in the resurrection, and who will demonstrate His power again when He raises believing loved ones of all generations to eternal life. My strength and my hope have to be in Christ alone, Ronna said. Thats a truth we all need as we travel the journey God has for us.
Read: 2 Corinthians 1:6-11
You will soon see a lot of people wearing Red on Fridays. Here's why..... The Americans, who support our troops, are the silent majority. We are not "organized" to reflect who we are, or to reflect what our opinions are. Many Americans, like yourself, and all their friends, simply want to recognize that Americans support our troops. Our idea of showing our solidarity and support for our troops is starting Friday and continuing on each and every Friday, until this is over, that every red-blooded American who supports our young men and women, WEAR SOMETHING RED. |
Wonderful words of truth! There is nothing more beneficial and powerful than God’s Word. He reveals it as we reach the point of growth to understand it.
Thank Thee, LORD, for thy Wisdom and grace, In Jesus name amen.
It is for us to look to thee for our answers.
Day before yesterday I ran to the post office just before 5 O clock. It sprinkled and I though it was a shower, the windshield wipers were needed. Went 7 blocks to the post office and noticed the pavement was not wet or showing any signs of rain. Like the cartoon ‘Charlie Brown’ that is in the comic strip, last week, was rained on ... just him where he was, ... It came to me that God answered my prayer for just a few moments and rained on me. Wonderful, if brief.
We are desperate of rain. Our water is limited to 2 hours once a week for the outside trees, etc. We did have snow at Christmas. But no rain for over a year. and drought before that. Simply devastating to the wild life and all growing plant and tree life.
LORD forgive us and show mercy on thy land and people, in Jesus name, amen.
“When lifes journey gets so difficult
That it feels too much to bear,
Just remember, we dont walk alone
Our almighty God is there. Sper
The storms of life remind us to take shelter
in the loving arms of our Savior.”

There is much we do understand. How many are taken from us ... in accidents, diseases, disasters, etc., It happens in an instant and can not be reversed in this life. Our hope is in the Word and promise, and blessings, of the LORD. Our hope and our great longing depends upon God alone to come for us .
I'm wearing RED today
'Cuz I love my soldier!
It will have to be green for me today, I only own 3 cotton dresses, and after spending the morning yesterday in Minor Med, only to be given the wrong drug, which works like 0, instead of the RX one I’ve been using for 2 years, but no longer is working. Ended up in the wee hours in the ER, skin fold infection erupted like wild fire, they sent me home with what they treat severe wounds and burns with.
Diflucan 2 pills 12 hrs apart.
silver sulfadiazine cream x 3 per day, only works for 2 hrs and burning is back. Could take up to 4 weeks to heal.
Lord, please give me a break, I can’t take any more health issues, especially since no one will fix a dang one of them that are fixable.
Hubby gets his gallbladder removed Wed, it is elective to prevent emergency removal later, several good size stones in it including 1 like a super sized grain of rice.

Happy Friday, Geo.
Like you, I thank God for the rain he gives us. I wish He had shared some of ours with you. Our rainfall is still below normal for the year.
BUT ... we’ve had WEATHER since Wednesday. The prediction is for more this afternoon. With the hail from Wednesday and yesterday, our agriculture losses are estimated to be in the millions. We have orchards with young tree fruit damaged and on the ground. I’m sure it will be finamcially devastating to California and our valley when the final estimates are in.
I pray for our farmers.
Father, thank you for bringing the much needed rain but please spare our farmers additional losses. In Jesus Name. Amen.
Happy Friday, Yorkie. Thank you.
Wearing red and supporting our troops on this wet Friday.
I love pictures of the children welcoming their moms and dads home.
prayers being offered for you Gail.
Have a Blessed Friday.
WOW ... look at those beautiful eyes!
Kitty, this baby is precious. Thank you for sharing her with us. Thank you for supporting our troops.
Have a lovely day.
Then you may like this one, too - but I didn't feel comfortable posting it:

(((((Goodnight, Dear FRiends)))))
Our Lord Grant us All a Peaceful and Restful Night.
Was listening to the Whispering Bill Anderson Family Reunion and tonight was gospel night, mostly the old songs we seniors learned from church, which now mean naught to this last generation. I am not a big fan of contemporary gospel as it does not always appeal.
But this song by preformed by Gordon Mote really touched a nerve for all of us going through trials, tribulations and sickness. Some one set it to a beautiful video.
Hold Me UP, Gordon Mote (he did not write the song)
