I went to the Lutheran Church where I teach pre-school.
It was really nice. I knew a former voice student of Mine (Superstar Kristin) and her Dad Gary went to church there and lo and behold, they are BOTH Acolytes and Eucharistic ministers. I asked the person sitting next to me if it was “Open Communion” (meaning visitors can receive communion) and she said yes, so I went up and The Pastor gave me the bread, but KRISTIN offered me the wine. She and her dad were so surprised and delighted to see me there!

They had a choir and organist, and the music was strictly traditional, from the Lutheran Hymnal, so no opportunities for me in the music ministry, but that’s OK. Maybe I just need to warm a pew for a while. LOL.

A little girl got baptized and we all joined together with her vows. Very, Very NICE.

There were great munchies afterward (Lutherans are famous for THAT! HaHaHa)

I sometimes get to Play the lovely Grand Piano when I teach Pre-school. We are now preparing for graduation ceremonies in June.

I don’t DARE touch that organ though! hee hee.

Thanks for that link...I don't believe there is GVB recording that I don't like. They are wonderful!
