They ought to call it the Bernanke Special
$5 + 15% per annum special.
Obviously, they need to have price controls on food./s
“...All Subway Restaurants in SF County...”
That would be Marin County, not SF County. Schmuck libs.
I know... let’s raise taxes, that’ll solve everything.
This is what liberals want. They think higher prices are a good thing.
twelve dollar...
Twelve Dollar foot longs....
(because the gub'ment thinks they can raise the water on one side of the bathtub only...)
In 2011, more *reporting* businesses (254) quit California than the year before (202), which was a high-water mark over 2009 (51).
Importantly, only about 10% of businesses are required to report to the state government on leaving the state, to insure there are no pending liens, that creditors are fully aware of the departure, etc.
This means that 90% of the businesses that leave California can just pack up and go, and will only be missed when their annual tax returns and reported for however long in the fiscal year they were in the state before leaving, for which taxes are still owed.
In turn, this means that the only real statistic for business departures will be obtained once a year by their state bureau of taxation.
A college professor once told me that by adding to costs, minimum wage laws could encourage businesses to be more productive. And we all know laying extra burdens on people’s backs has motivated them so well in the past.
So why doesn’t Subway patent an automated $5 footlong maker, or something? They have all the economic incentive in the world!
I used to get angry at people who didn’t understand the effects of raising the minimum wage, but now I just laugh (and cry) because they never understand no matter how you explain it. They always think that everyone is going to get richer, when instead, they ended up staying about the same, and everyone else gets poorer. =(
The thug mediot drips of elitist condescension.
Pray for America
It’s San Francisco. Triple the price, dress ‘em up a bit and sell ‘em on the Tenderloin.
Ron Jeremy is content with living in L.A.
Most cities discourage pan-handling.
SF sells them a license as a “Street Performer”, so they can abuse people while they stand in line or try to walk down the street.
So, in Libtard-ville; if a person pays the city some cash - they have the right to make you miserable and there is nothing you can do about it.
In San Francisco, they’d pay alot more than $5 for a foot long.
The $5 subs are $6 in Hawaii and at some locations; $6.50.
The government must provide foot longs at 5.
In San Fagsicko, you can get a foot long with two $3 bills...
I mean, they love them and all, just don't want them in THEIR county. Can't blame 'em for that...
