What the heck does he think he's accomplishing with his asinine APOLOGY? With his STUPID apology, he has just pandered to the left. He has just had his first "Don Imus" moment. Is Rush going senile? I just don't get it. Maybe the guy really isn't all that bright.
I sure do hope Rush doesn't have to be unemployed for a period before recovering from his little apology moment like Don Imus did.

Rush, sadly, is growing tiresome. I find I no longer regularly tune in the show. He refuses to take on the more controversial topics, backs off too often—and now has clearly demonstrated how he has allowed his sponsors to place certain crucial parts in their nutcracker.

Yes I agree that words have meaning. In her talk about contraception, she said they couldn’t afford contraception. When she talked about the medical use of birth control she said medicine etc.
It doesn’t matter what she said, she NEVER talked about her own sex life. To call her a slut was uncalled for.
So she's a Proxy Slut or a Surrogate Slut rather than a slut by deed. You can let the left roll over you with straw men and red herrings if you want to but I never will.
So? So attack her argument instead of her personally. I also have a medical condition that is treated by the pill, polycystic ovarian syndrome. I don’t take it either.

Now, imagine Fluke trying to defend this language about “heterosexist” policies in a public hearing, with Republican members of the committee questioning her about whether religious institutions (or private businesses, or taxpayers) should also be required to foot the bill for “gender reassignment.”

She may be a slut for all I know but nothing she said in that testimony is about her sex life.
You are still misrepresenting her testimony. I gave you the actual amount of time that she spent talking about each subject. The majority of her testimony was about medical issues. It really doesn’t matter anyway.
I don’t use birth control for moral reasons but there are pleny of NON slutty women that do. Fluke even spoke of married women using it. Are you going to call the married woman a slut too? Just because a woman uses birth control that does not make her a slut.
Again I don’t agree with anything this woman said but lets stick with the issues.

Sandra Fluke is a Proxy Slut. She made the argument in her name on behalf of students who she claims need $3k worth of birth control to get through law school.
Ma’am, please understand I’m addressing you in a respectful fashion because your posts clearly indicate you want nothing but to be humble and helpful.
Nevertheless, comments like “The problem with personal attacks is
that there is nothing of substance there...” while well meaning, are cliche’ and incorrect. Personal attacks are tremendously effective, and one of the key reasons we keep losing.
We can not afford to play by rules our enemies flaunt with impunity and which do nothing but prevent US from responding effectively.
Ask yourself this question: will God hold us guiltless for rigidly following the same demonstrably ineffective strategy as pro-lifers for the last forty years?
In the question & answer part she did say she uses birth control (GASP!!! A thirty year old might be having sex!!! And Unmarried!!! Only 90%+ of American have pre-marital sex!!!)
And she said her male partner appreciates birth control (SHOCK!!! They are like 90%+ of all Americans - heterosexuals!!!)

She did not ask for taxpayers or the government to pay for her birth control. The students at Georgetown pay for the health insurance, Georgetown organizes it and apparently doesn't subsidize it, but the university controls what benefits are provided.
She said “partner”, not “partners”.
Aside from that, I quite frankly wouldn't appreciate my employer (I guess a university is the employer of students) to impose their religious values on me. And that is precisely what the catholics are doing here, even though the birth control restrictions are ignored by their own flock. If it was Muslims imposing any aspect of sharia law, most of the people on the Freep would be on the other side about imposition of religion on non-adherants. Why isn't there opposition to the imposition of “catholic law” on non-adherants? If your company transferred you to Utah or Idaho, would you want “Mormon Law” imposed on you or your spouse?
Limbaugh was a clueless buffoon who has practically single handedly killed any chance of winning over women in the middle for the republican cause. His apologies were lame self justifications. I agree to a certain point.
The woman lied before Congress and I have no issue calling her a liar. That is the truth.
If she had testified to having sex with tons of partners, I would have no problem calling her a slut. Why? Because it would be true.
However, she never mentioned her sex life in that testimony. The testimony was misrepresented to us and until I listened myself I was arguing on a false premise. I felt deceived and frankly I was embarrassed.
If she has one sexual partner I would not consider her a slut. I think that title is reserved for someone with lots of sexual partners.
However, I don’t agree with anything else you said. SHE is imposing HER values on the Catholic church by demanding they pay for her birth control. It isn’t the other way around. No one is denying her birth control. She can buy it, or get other insurance or go to another school.
No you didn’t argue against her points. The point is that she doesn’t have the right to ask a Catholic institution to provide her or anyone else with anything they don’t want to especially something that is against their religious convictions. I don’t care if she is a virgin or a nun and she wants Bible to hand out on campus, she doesn’t have the right to demand it from her school. So calling her slutty does nothing for your argument and actually detracts from it.
