Thanks very much, Jaycee! Of all the daffodils that grow in my garden, Thalia is the most fragile and elegant. It is truly a joy to see her break the soil and then bloom every Spring, as she has for almost twenty years in my front garden.

JC, I’ve had canna lillies blooming for over ten years at my place - but last year, the bulbs were not planted until late April - and didn’t do well. This year, I had hoped to get a head start on them, but then Mother Nature and the temperatures for the month of March let me know who is in control - and I hope they make it this year.
I am having a Memorial service for Pam, to scatter her ashes with her whole family present, in April.............I wanted it to be beautiful and in full bloom, when they come. (sigh).

Yes, Teenie - Canna Lillies are georgeous - some grow as tall as 4’ (others are only 2’ tall) but all continue to produce flowers all summer long! When the flowers die back, I just clip them and within a couple days, new flowers are budding out! The leaves are full and green and stay that way all summer!

Those are a beautiful color! Are they cannas?
I just took a little nap. You know they say as we get older, we have to take a little nap before bedtime. LOL! I stayed up half the night last night watching the weather bulletins. They were scary but we finally dodged another bullet. Had a lot of wind and rain but no tornado. I slept in the lazy boy so I could get to a safe place if I needed to. I may have gotten 4 hours of sleep and I’m feeling it tonight.

Very tragic! From what I've read and the interviews I've watched online (people who knew him well) he did have heart problems but hadn't seen a Dr. in over a year.

Thank you Kitty. I appreciate your sweet words so much! It took some time to put that one together. I found my little girl and then looking for quotes I liked was a long process....LOL! But it was worth it. ((((HUGS))))

Im Good
March 2, 2012
When someone asks, How are you? it has become common for the response to be, Im good. When we say this, we are really saying, Im well or Im doing fine, speaking of our general well-being and not our character. I have answered with that response more times than I can count, but lately it has begun to bother me. Because, whether we realize it or not, we are saying something specific when we use the word good.
Jesus once encountered a wealthy young man who called Him Good Teacher (Matt. 19:16). The young man was right, for Jesus is both good (completely perfect) and the Teacher. He is the only One who can truly make that claim.
The Lord, however, challenged the man to think about what he was saying in using that term good. So He said to him, Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments (v.17). Jesus wanted the man to understand that the assertion he was making needed to be taken seriously. Jesus can be called good because He is God.
Next time someone asks you, How are you? it is great to be able to say, Im well. But remember, only Jesus is good.
Eternal with the Father, One,
Is Jesus Christ, His own dear Son;
In Him Gods fullness we can see,
For Jesus Christ is deity. D. De Haan
God is great and God is good, but without Him we are neither.

Beautiful, Yorkie.
I hope the weather warms so the Cannas can be planted soon.
This one would be perfect for today (Red Friday).

WOW!! These are just beautiful, Conor. I’m going to get some of these bulbs. My daffodils should be blooming soon but I don’t have any white ones. Thank you for sharing these with us.
