This is one of the reasons I opted to get my statement online. That way I can download a PDF copy if I need it or just access it online.
Last year I lost over $2500.00 in checks to me at the Scottsboro, Al 35768 Post office. This month a letter with a check for $150.00 was lost at this post office.
They dont understand why they are going broke.
Compalints to postal inspector was refused. They told me to call some one else who does not answer their phone.
Complaints to Jeff Sessions U. S. Senator has not been successful.

You would be better off going paperless/email.
A couple of years ago I mailed 6 bills to different locations from one mailbox. NOT ONE OF THEM MADE IT.
I complained VERY LOUDLY & OFTEN to the USPS and they did not respond in any manner and did absolutely NOTHING.

First of all, credit card companies want you to go paperless, it saves them a ton of money. Setting you up for late fees forces you to comply. We have had this done to us, IMO it is deliberate. Surprize, we founfonline bill payingto be much faster, and cheaper than the old fashioned way.
The USPS is a union controlled monopoly. They do not give a damn about you; there isno wayto complain or resolve an issue.
I live in a town of 14k.
Typically, the P.O. loses 1 to 2 pieces of mail per year (that I know of). Usually, it is something I would be expecting — such as the city utility bill. Last year, I never received the bill from the county for taxes.
Whenever possible, I do everything online. I prefer receiving electronic statements/bills and making payments online. That way, I don’t have to worry about items being lost in the mail or ‘kids’ pilfering through my curb-side mailbox. And many companies send immediate confirmations of payments made online.
No doubt this is not unusual. We are paying for a Cadillac and getting a Pinto.
My mail is generally reliable. I guess maybe a couple of times a year, I get a letter which is supposed to go to my neighbor.
I always just drive over to their house and hand them the letter. Maybe six months ago, I got what was obviously a government check which was addressed to my neighbor.
I drove over and gave it to him. He opened it and the check was an insurance check for $1200.00.
Don’t be so quick to blame the PO as it might be a thief who is going through your mail. Check the statement carefully because it sounds like someone is getting your statement from your box for identity theft. If you don’t get your statement, then you don’t know what’s on it and it gives them more play time with your card.
A video camera might be a good next purchase.
Hard to say where the fault lies since it COULD be the credit card company (I had one bank that routinely said they received our payments late and tacked on a fee. There was no way they were late, nothing else was.
However, it could also be the PO.
I did want to say that I have had good service, thru the years, from the USPS, only ever had one thing lost. Did have 2 things arrive late this year that I sent 2 day guaranteed (not priority but 2 day guaranteed). Took them a week. I was not happy, but things aren’t always perfect. Otherwise, my experience with them has been good. And, strangely enough, here in S. FL the post office employees are almost always about a gazillion times nicer than the people who live here. Of course, that’s not difficult to be. But still, in TX where I lived the USPS employees were generally rude. Except for the delivery guys. They were always nice.
Hope you get this straightened out.
For me, it was my letter carrier (mailman). I made a complaint to the US Poatal service on line, went to the Head postmaster - nothing. Finally I left a gift in my mailbox for the guy - $10 gift certificate to Dunkin Donuts with a note begging him to deliver my mail. Now I get my mail but he’s forever on my Xmas gift list.
When I finally received it 2 weeks later the company said we did not think you wanted the job when you did not show up so we filled it.
A long time ago this happened to me and at first I blamed the post office and filed a complaint. It turned out it was a roommate stealing mail. I couldn't believe someone I trusted would do that but that's what it was.
Online is the way to go.
Here is a good post office tale....We have one of our girls and her family living in Iceland....
So I mailed their Valentine card early so it would be sure to get there on time..and it did, early in fact..imagine that! However, the envelope was open and inside the card was a bill being sent by a Mrs. D to PG&E which is the Pacifif Gas and Electric here in CA. Yep her payment went all the way to Iceland. I got her return address and sent her a note ( she is not listed in the phone book) and next day she came by, said she called PG&E and also went to the post office. Post office told her sometimes the glue doesn’t stay stuck and that is how it happened...
Then this month I get my phone bill and it is huge..seems they didn’t get my last month payment..cost me 34 bucks to stop payment on that bill and then send another..
Yep and our postage keeps going up..neither rain nor snow nor hail will keep the mail from getting out...hahahahaha
Our mail carrier is the sloppiest too..jams things in the box so we can hardly get it out.
I filed a claim with them back on January 5th and while they informed me they would look into it, I haven't heard anything since.........
I suggest sending your Phone Bill Payment to the Gas Company, The Electric Bill Payment to the Phone people and the Electric Bill to the Gas Company .... they will figure it out.
(with or without the P.O.)
