Is it a fair question to ask... Is Mormonism Christian or is it not?

If you care enough to respond and tell me it's not a fair question, please explain why not.

Do Mormons consider any other Christian denominations to be true Christians?

Well, lets let Joseph Smith answer that one:

Obviously, according to Joseph Smith, the answer is an emphatic, "No!"

Roger Williams was the founder of the modern American concept of freedom of religion. He was driven out of the Massachusetts Bay Colony by the same Puritan element who later conducted the Salem Witch Trials because they considered Baptists a cult.

No, Mormonism is not Christian. It fails the basic tests of the doctrine of the Trinity and the doctrine of Christ. If a church cannot confess the three ecumenical creeds--the Apostles' Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed--it is not Christian. Mormonism is a false religion.

Mormonism is not Christian and there are many answers as to why but many well-meaning nominal Christians, especially, don't really know or care. These people, the "moderates," the independents, even some dyed-in-the wool conservatives aren't interested in this question, they are so gung-ho to get behind a "winner" to defeat Obama, I fear that they would vote for almost anyone (anyone that is, the Establishment and the media tell them is "electable") to defeat Obama!

These well-meaning (or not so) will be very sorry that they didn't know or care about the differences between genuine Christianity and counterfeit religion claiming to be Christianity.

The Secret Service has to study and identify counterfeit currency as well as genuine currency to know the difference - Christians need to do the same with their own claimed belief and those of Mormonism but as Mormons hide much of their real beliefs, this is not an easy task.

All of that being said, if or when Romeny ascends to the top of the GOP ticket, Republicans who've been so eager to shut down the process of selecting the "best conservative" as our leader, will soon enough be given a doctoral course in Mormonism - by the liberals and the media.

We will all learn such things as Mormons believe that "the god of this earth, father to all beings, had sex with one of his daughters, Mary, to become the earthly father of Jesus (we refer to this as incest, no matter how idiotic it is); we will also learn that the Mormon god (also known as Adam)was the "father of the human race" who went on to become a god and if you do things "right" (by LDS standards, of course) you can become a god of your own universe as well; we will also learn what a charlaton Joseph Smith was, a child molester, adulterer, who printed his own currency, set up his only "state" with his own laws and counseled sedition (which was but one of the reasons he was arrested.); there are numerous reasons of why the voting public would be idiots to vote for Romney (we will be told by liberals and the media) for he believes and follows such insane and dangerous practices that he would be a threat to national security!

Of course, we will only learn all about what Mormonism teaches and what those genuinely nice people in our workplace or neighborhood, believe and practice - while we neither knew nor cared about....before Romney became the GOP candidate.

He, and we by extension, will be the kind of object of late night humor that would make what Palin became look tame.

Right now, anyone who attempts to point out some of the satanic rituals that Mormons practice, are referred to as "hate mongers." So be it, but all who gladly look the other way now, will come to rue the day. At that time, they will cry, "Why didn't someone tell me (us), why didn't someone point out how evil Romney's "faith" is? Sadly, we did, you just didn't want to listen, you were only desirous of beating Obama as most were when they were chanting, "Anybody but Hillary," well we got him!

It is a religion with some Christian elements. If you go point-by-point on what most Christians believe and compare that with the doctrine of the LDS, if the LDS are Christians, then most Christians —Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant, and various sectarians —are not Christians. I am an Orthodox Christian and I have a graduate degree in theology, but I am coming to this point objectively.

Having said that, I’ll also say this is a free country and I won’t begrudge the LDS or anyone else of their own religious expression.

Joseph Smith thought he was better than Jesus.

Mormons think they can go on to become gods.... Only if they practice polygamy.

Mormons don't believe that the death of Jesus on the cross was not enough to save them.

You never see a Mormon missionary holding a Bible.
