No, Mormonism is not Christian. It fails the basic tests of the doctrine of the Trinity and the doctrine of Christ. If a church cannot confess the three ecumenical creeds--the Apostles' Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed--it is not Christian. Mormonism is a false religion.
I am a confessional Lutheran pastor (LCMS).

After spending 4 years in Utah on business, we became fairly familiar with LDS teaching. The membership of our Lutheran church in SLC was 25% former LDS. We had an active evangelism effort among former LDS. And, no, it is not a Christian faith. It uses Biblical teaching that suits its beliefs, while rejecting those that confront its belief.

In fact Mormons reject these three creeds. Basically any historical Christian creeds for that matter.

Amen.
And Mormonism has the audacity to claim that “there is another gospel of Jesus Christ”....at least nowadays they are being straightforward about that blantant disregard for Galatians 1.
