I struggle with the clash between two realities:
Breitbart would have LOVED a good-hearted roast at the hands of his fellow warriors, but...the idea of roasting the deceased...
While I’m certain that the more cold-hearted on the left (generously granting the possible existence of some that are not) would relish the mental imagery conjured up by a hearty, post mortem roasting, it isn’t the kind of mental theatre attended by decent people.
So, the conflict stands: to maintain proper decorum, or to memorialize the man in a manner he would have enjoyed.
Personally, I tend to the former, but only out of a felt need NOT to provide political enemies with any ammo. Not that they will eschew assassinating the dead for lack of it, but only to inhibit their efforts in whatever degree possible.
I agree. No messing up a Brietbart thread.
A thread on some silly subject is bound to pop up. Let’s all keep an eye out for one and ping Darkie to it when we see one, like a story about a mouse that gets caught in a gay Chinaman’s zipper or something....

Given the progs’ glee over Andrew’s death, there’s bound to be a zot thread somewhere....I’d just hate to see a Brietbart thread constantly on my ping page. But that’s just lil ole me.
If I saw a thread every day, it would just remind me of how much fun he was.
However, it was just a thought as I went out the door, not a suggestion I really cared about. When the new Undead Thread appears, we’ll recognize it. Perhaps it’s time for Animal Kingdom Weirdness again!

This afternoon I turned in my son’s Eagle Scout package at the Council office. If we’re lucky, it will be approved so he can have the Board of Review before he’s 18.

Pat is a Webelos. James is Wolf Cub. Vlad will start Tiger Cubs in June. (I just bought them some new uniform pieces on the trip to deliver Bill’s papers.)
Frank is 2. Kathleen is 6 weeks.
Ash is Retired. I’m stone cold sober (instead of slightly relaxed) and hating it.
And I’m Wolf Cub leader and DP is “Unit Commissioner.” I’d like to find two people to lead the Bear Cubs next year, so that I could lead Tiger Cubs (with Vlad) again.

I didn’t think you wanted to smear him. I thought it would be a great idea to memorialize him even more thoroughly than everyone else is doing. It could be a sort of side-UT. Ignoring any trolls that surface would be a bonus. Then again, what do I know?
