Mafia ? (Il zotto di pazzo)

Posted on 02/01/2012 3:44:24 PM PST by chrismac

It might be connected with the strange goings on around here : Our car stolen, with $4000 of damage; Our neighbour's healthy rabbit dying unexpectedly; Our neighbour's letterbox being destroyed; Curious spam emails about las vegas; The odd curious phone call; Faeces being smeared on our church Car windows smashed and things taken at church - they now have patrols as a result Breakin at church and organ damaged. Mysterious deaths of stars, such as Heath Ledger, Brittany and her husband, Michael Jackson, David Carradine, and others : http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2010/05/24/what-killed-brittanys- husband.html http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/31103217/ns/today-entertainment/t/david- carradine-found-dead-thailand-hotel/

Connect the dots if you dare, to see the truth.

When I was in Del Rio, there was a family in our church that had 12 children, eight of them adopted. And they were planning to adopt more.

It is so awesome when folks are willing to adopt.

There is that! LOL!

I’ll be so glad when The Stig is done molting. I miss his cheery little songs. Good thing I got a “skirt” for his cage. The bottom is covered with feathers, and they pile up in the corners. When it warms up a little more today, I will take him outside and let the wind blow the feathers away.

Timely admonition, as usual.

Yes, it is. This couple looked about 60 (probably there for the lady's hormone replacement prescription), and obviously weren't scared off by the prospect of raising a young child at their age. I didn't ask details, but I expect the 5-year-old is a family member, great-nephew or something. It's a big extended family that's been in the area 150 years or so.

Mayor of Hemby Bridge doesn't sound like much, but there's a big highway project coming through, so an experienced politician (used to be a County Commissioner) with some connections in the Capitol will be a real benefit to the area.

Is there an America’s Best place near you? They advertise two pair for $99 including eye exam. (I assume you wear bifocals)

I wear trifocals because I not only use the computer but I do a lot of handwork as well. But no, I can’t use any place but LensCrafters. Which I think is a rip-off, but they have the contract for the senior services that my medical allows, and I can’t use any other shop without paying full price.

With my vision problems, it would be around $500, I’m sure. *ick*

When I was in elementary school, my mother had three of us in glasses, besides herself. The younger ones (my sister and I) were going through glasses every six months or so, what with our deteriorating vision and our propensity to get in between a sports ball of some kind and it’s intended target.

The brother was older, so I’m not familiar with his vision needs during that time. Even at $28 a pair back then, I don’t know how my mother did it.

I’m fortunate in having only one child with glasses, so far. I should get both girls’ eyes checked soon, though, because I needed glasses from age 12 on. Maybe they won’t ...

Ten inches of crystalized water covering the yard?
That’s a job for global warming!

Serious, I wish we had some global warming...

My sister got her first pair at six, and I got mine at seven, so we started young. My son, however, got his first pair at 2-1/2 years. And he was so cute in them!

It’s OK...even if all you do a a chapter or a few pages...I read fast because I’m mostly alone and don’t have any distractions.

Just let me know when you start a new book, OK?
