(VANITY)
Word has it that Mr. Herman Cain, a strong conservative presidential candidate incessantly attacked by the national media, the DNC and the RINO Establishment slime machine, is in a position now to endorse in pivotal South Carolina prior to its presidential primary.
The problem is, some indications are coming out that such an endorsement, while "unconventional" may be going to Mitt Romney, the worst possible choice for the Republicans in 2012 and certainly no conservative, easily beatable by Barack Obama in November. Sucn an endorsement would be highly inadvisable. Many of us, former 2012 Cain supporters, volunteers and donors say this in unison and with passion.
So many really got fooled by ‘ol Hermie- and they’re being fooled by Santorum, the RINO voter.
Not saying I like it. I maxed out to Cain and am maxed out to Newt, but I can read the tea leaves.
The telling sign is that Romney has enough money that his TV commercials are up in heavy primetime rotation in Florida, and SC at the same time, and NOBODY else is up in Florida AT ALL. Plus Newt has no ground game here in FL.
Huntsman is out tonight, and his Orlando-born wife's supporters will all go to another moderate, Romney. And of course, $ go to winners, and the latest Reuters poll has Romney up BIG in SC, after wins in NH and Iowa.
Don't like it, but I never curse reality.
I don’t know if there is direct evidence, however what we CAN say is that the water carriers for Romney in the Talk Show Circuit were constantly stoking the first that the libDems/Obama Machine started—as Herman Cain was an incredible threat-through Politico on Herman Cain and then through Gloria Allred, et al on Herman Cain. Romney may not have approved of it or known of it, but he was a direct beneficiary. People come to mind like Karl Rove, Laura Ingraham (especially), etc. I will NEVER EVER forget those people’s words, innuendos, and pressure on the air on Cain to drop out, building up a non-scandal into something huge enough to damage his family and himself...all on behalf of their favorite chess piece, Mitt Romney. The whole sordid thing stinks then and stinks now today. The least Herman Cain could do now is endorse somehow who was way arms’ length away on that contrived fiasco and did not make political benefit out of it at the time, over and above what was necessary as a competitor. At any rate, Herman Cain often said that political power is best when it comes from the PEOPLE, so in that regard, this post is presented, so that he can truly here the voice of the People, first and foremost the people out there who helped get him as far as he got, he should listen to us first, and ignore any GOP Beltway Establishment in-kind emoluments or promises of emoluments that might be floating out there at this time, and stick with a True Conservative when he finally does endorse.

Yes, generally, I have tuned Hermon out. [off] The past 12 to 15 times I have seen him on TV, he is about self-promoting and little else. Oh, yes, Hermon does talk about the election but only tangentially. His aim is to promote his already discredited and so-called 9-9-9 plan.
I could not respect him if he caves to the establishment. I am sure they are working around the clock to get his endorsement. How could a conservative endorse Mitt?
Please Herman. Think of your country first. We’ve already discovered on FR enough dirt on Romney that BO will absolutely bury him. We beg you don’t endorse Willard.
“The one helping Willard is Perry. Period.”
I don’t think so. Period.
I think the “one” helping Romney has been, still is, and will be Herman Cain.
Like others here, I hope your “source” is honma ni machigai.
Two things, Cain said his endorsement would be unconventional and also that it would not be a candidate, but an idea or principle.
Also he said his announcement would be made on Jan. 19th, unless I am mistaken.
Gambare !!
I just went on his website and begged him not to endorse Romney.
**an endorsement, while “unconventional” may be going to Mitt Romney, the worst possible choice for the Republicans in 2012 and certainly no conservative**
We don’t want Cain to endorse Willard. Please let him know.w
Romney supporters played a huge role in dumping Cain.... Like talk show host WTMJ’s Charley Sykes, (who sometimes subs for a Salem personality) was banging away at Cain the day before the Politico story broke and kept it up daily for two solid weeks until Cain dropped out.
When Cain discussed the VP slot he virtually eliminated Romney...If he were to endorse Romney I believe that would be the way, Worst Possible Choice, he would do it...Which is certainly a non endorsement and a stern warning.
I think Rand Paul will be the Romney VEEP if Romney gets the nomination. I think there’s a deal. RP no 3rd party and attacks those like Newt who get in contention.
Kentucky is far enough South, Rand is perceived to be conservative and has Tea Party support.
Cain is all about Cain - always was -
He’s going to make another of his ‘big announcements on the 19th = horning in on the publicity.
He need to endorse or go home and be quiet
“Cain will speak Jan. 19 at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference in Charleston, S.C., two days before the South Carolina primary. He said he will use that speech to make an “unconventional endorsement” in the presidential race, which means that he will not be blessing a single candidate.
“My mission is to help defeat Barack Obama,” he said. “I want my supporters to stay excited and enthused. And if I pick one person, some of them may not like that one person, and that would fragment my supporters.”
Go home, Herman, it isn’t all about you - it never was.
“Plus Newt has no ground game here in FL.”
Shouldn’t that be sufficient evidence to dump Newt now while we still can?
Yup, more or less. Basically, if you think cynically enough about this whole political process, you’ll probably approximate a close rendition of the actual truth.
I’d bet Herman has probably adopted a “go along to get along” attitude, and believes that by forging connections with the Establishment (the Blob), they’ll basically let him in and lend his group support.
To the headline: oh, vomit!
Huntsman endorses Romney, Cain endorses Romney, Bachmann endorses Romney
SHocking!
“Is Perry smart enough to drop out also? Probably not.”
So what’s it to you if we get to hear a conservative voice from a successful sitting governor. What’s the problem with hearing the thoughts and ideas from the head of the Republican Governors Association? What is wrong with a candidate staying in as long as he can to present his conservative views? Who says we have to do things the Karl Rove way?
Maybe someone else is getting ready to enter the race anyway. Then what?
Amen!
