Just grateful at my age to remember when it’s my birthday..LOL

I need to make some changes at AP to start the new year.

Since my house is getting dirtier, my clothes hamper is overflowing and Marissa is almost a teen, I need to spend more time on home and with family.

I've given this a lot of thought ... I do not plan to close the doors to Amy's Place! But, I must spend less time here (as you've probably noticed these last few months).

I will continue to post the monthly thread but will not always post an Opening Welcome. Meg33, Jaycee, Yorkie. Tiapam and The Mayor have graciously agreed to help out with hostessing whenever possible.

I hope you will continue to come by with you graphics, blessings, greetings, jokes, music or just to check us out. I hope you understand and will continue to stop by daily for a relaxing visit.

Since I have introduced Amy’s Place to my new favorite artist, Johnny Reid, I will post an appropriate song: “Time Flies”.

Life is about choices. This is a beautiful place of respite, and it’s so enjoyable to mingle with (in my case, usually lurk among) the FReepers. I appreciate the wonderful posts and am grateful to the hosts/hostesses that Amy’s Place won’t be closed.

Sad day . . . . .

I find this so sad. She truly earned this medal... American Lindsey Vonn has had to forfeit her Olympic Gold Medal!

The International Olympic Committee announced today that it has taken back the gold medal previously awarded to American skier Lindsey Vonn and gave it to U.S. President Barack Obama.

Olympic officials said Obama deserved the medal more than Vonn because no one has ever gone downhill faster than he has.
