RUSSELL Brand and Katy Perry are to divorce.
Comedian Brand, 36, said today: "Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I'll always adore her and I know we'll remain friends."
Brand and the pop singer married in October 2010.

The difference of course is that Perry's career is booming while Brand's has sputtered out. Perry is a hit-making machine. Brand's last film, a totally pointless remake of "Arthur" was universally panned and bombed at the box office.
Their vastly different career trajectories probably doomed their marriage.
My Care-O-Meter must be broken. It didn’t even register on that earth-shattering story.
I can’t STAND that no talet, hyperactive, over-the-top, nonfunny, English hack.

Brand had me crying while laughing when he was on Leno...(before he got married)...sooooo funny. Kinda like a couple of the VERY old time comedians...
Apparently that was one of the reasons for the divorce, Katy didn’t like Russell’s attitude towards her religion, Brand is a staunch atheist.

Yeah, we were at a church visiting friends recently and the guest speakers were Katy Perry’s parents. They were rather entertaining but not too much substance (forgive me for being a bit judgemental). He rambled on about churchy-anity and how people were tired of that kind of religion and about his relationship with his daughter and people wondering how a conservative charismatic preacher and his wife could have a daughter who wrote “I kissed a girl and I liked it”. He had is wife come up and impress us with how she spoke french and quoted John 3.16 in french. Oh la la...
At any rate is was not too hard to see how the apple didn’t fall too far from the tree, just in a ‘different orchard’ so to speak. It seems Katy likes to tote them around as sort a good luck charm to her events where they try to minister to people they meet there.
I hope and pray that someday soon Katy returns to her senses and returns to the Lord.
She was raised better.

It takes more than a good sense of humour to make a go of it.. always has.
