Many have truly lost interest in the Republican primary and its "candidates." None appear fully acceptable, all have major faults and excess baggage that could easily cause them to lose to an absolutely unre-electable sitting president.
While polls are often flawed and many are absolutely biased, I have seen a consistent trend that any particular GOP candidate VS Obama consistently loses, given a choice between "Any Republican" and Obama, the Republican wins handily. What this means is that the majority of voters, about 75% in the GOP in fact, are totally unhappy with the choices offered.
It is my considered opinion that an overwhelming majority of both Republican rank-and-file, and independent voters alike, are seeking someone to challenge Obama....other than the candidates offered.
Who does this leave?
As I recall, some four months ago, about the time of her triumphant tours and speeches, Sarah Palin stated that she "would run the most unconventional campaign ever." To this point, if she reverses course and comes in late to the fray, that would be the "most unconventional" move ever!
These endless and largely meaningless drivel-driven so called debates have done little more than pissed off many conservatives. By opting out in October, Sarah was insulated from this nonsense, and actually strengthened her desirability.
If, and this is a big IF, she decided to reenter any time before the Iowa caucus, she would likely show amazing support.
On the other hand, waiting to come in after the January mayhem, when deep divisions have made a clear frontrunner's unlikely, who better to fill the void?
Or even, with no leader in delegate count going into the convention, and with the prospect of internal war within the party, who better to be selected to heal the divisions and lead the GOP to victory?
Lets face it folks, we could well see the most unconventional campaign for nomination in the history of our nation!
But then, there is also another option........
What’s wrong - can’t handle you were exposed as a ‘do as I say and not as I do’ liberal? It’s your tagline that exposed your lack of credibility - I just brought it to the forefront. Sarah had nothing to do with it but in obama’s style you go into ‘it’s someone else’s fault’ mode.
That’s why we must get behind Newt 100%. There is no wiggle room for candidates who claim to be conservative but stay in the race for themselves. That’s not patriotism where it’s all about our country.
When she said she would not run, I thought ok plenty of other good candidates, FAIL, I yearn for her to change her mind.
We can only hope.
I’d much rather vote for her over our other choices.
Not only is she NOT running, but she ran away!
There are other posters on this forum who may not have seen it. But you always do protest much too loudly on a Gov Palin thread. Which one is you in the picture since you are making this all about you.
Strategic retreat is NOT running away.
Cheers to that! *clink*
LMAO
:D
she’s dead Jim
All Democrat candidates are poop.
Palin herself said she “Wasn’t retreating, she was reloading” several times.
When she’s done reloading, I hope she gets out there and kicks some liberal butt, so far all I see is “No Mas!”
Are these the same critics who’ve dismissed her, called her a has-been, toxic, damaged goods, pimped Cain, pimped Newt, and are now stammering on who she’ll endorse and if she doesn’t endorse the right person, she’s dead to the base.
To the critics, Palin’s only value are her donation lists and her volunteer lists. After that, she’s kicked to the curb.
Yeah, gotta love these Palin critics. One day they hate her like a dog, the other day they love her, but ONLY if she does “the right things”.
In psych terms, we call this the “Madona-Whore complex.”
She´s made her dough. No go.
Newt, Romney, Obama, Hillary and their ilk can make their profits, but not Sarah. Newt can write books, Romney can score it big in the investment world, Cain can be a CEO, but Sarah isn’t allowed to earn some scratch to pay the bills and set up a trust fund for Trig.
Gotcha.
Obama Romney Romney Obama step right up folks we will give you a choice, you can vote for this progressive or you can vote for this progressive. Each of them will do their best to eviscerate this nation as quickly as possible so that we can bring you our communist utopia. Isn’t that special!
I was curious about JosephMama since s/he is a recent signup and very harsh every time I’ve seen him/her. Just found this, interesting, just a few comments down:

The All Knowing Posting History always reveals the truth. Too bad FR doesn’t have that feature any more about finding how many posts someone has made; I think it used to be we could put the mouse above the person’s name? Or did we have to go to their posting history page? That was also very useful. Old signup date and a few dozen or couple hundred posts was a big clue right there.
I hope that somehow or other she is drafted. I am sure she would win, hands down.
