You guys are correct. I just researched it and the next time Barrow, AK residents will see the sun is on 1/24/2012 when it rises at 1:07PM, Barrow time.

Just curious - why would you park vehicles outside in this kind of cold? Doesn’t that make it very difficult to start and run them? Maybe engine block heaters? How does that work?

The vehicles are PLUGGED IN to power to keep the block warm....we forgot to do that once when it was about 20 below, I think....NOT a good thing.
