Not as funny as the Henry Blake years, but still enjoyable. RIP.

Harry Morgan was in my favorite World War II movie, “A Wing and a Prayer.” The movie was filmed during the war. The navy let the filmakers film on board an Essex class carrier. Beautiful black and white photography and film of actual flight deck operations. Harry Morgan played a TBF pilot. RIP.

For some reason, the title of the very last episode of M*A*S*H leapt into my mind when I heard this news, "Goodbye, Farewell and Amen."

Morgan was a class act. My aunt, who passed away this past October had served as a MASH nurse in Korea, and Col. Potter was the only character on that show she could stand.

RIP Harry Morgan.

Don't forget, before M*A*S*H, he co-starred in "Dragnet".

I first became aware of him as Sgt. Joe Friday’s partner, Officer Bill Gannon, in the 1960s version of “Dragnet.” Rest in peace, Mr. Morgan.

Remember him from December Bride TV series with Spring Byington. He was Pete the next door neighbor.

I still remember the “Tontine” episode. Harry Morgan made that one. And a whole lot more.

Adios, amigo.

Colonel Henry Blake Pictures, Images and Photos

MASH jumped the shark when he showed up, it went from slapstick to Alda's pushing his liberal agenda every episode.

But Dragnet is classic television.
