A New York woman is being scrutinized and praised after people learned that she used a dating website to obtain $1,200 a month in free meals.
According to Business Insider, 23-year-old Jessica Sporty was deep in debt. Sporty had difficulties living on her $45,000 annual salary after spending nearly $1,500 a month in rent, paying her credit card bill, and buying food.
So she hatched up a plan and signed up with the popular online dating site Match.com so she could quickly go on five dates a week. Sporty even maintained a spreadsheet with detailed information on each of her dates, limiting each guy to a maximum of five.
Dates took Sporty to high-end New York restaurants, and one of her dates even bought her a $200 bottle of champagne.
Before I barely had enough money to pay for food, said Sporty. After using Match.com I found I wasnt going into debt anymore.
-snip-
As of today, Sporty is no longer on the dating website as she is currently in a relationship and most likely freeloading off her new beau.
It was exhausting, she said. I needed my sleep and I was done playing the game.

Happy Boxing Day!
Happy Boxing Day, fanfan!
Here, it’s Leftovers Day ;-).
I spent most of the day in bed, yesterday. When I’m tired or don’t feel well, I not only have the chills and a fever, but now, I get really dizzy. So I stayed down, where I only got dizzy when I turned over. ;o]
My son called yesterday evening, and he sounded like Christmas had gotten the better of him! LOL! He told me he’s not getting any younger. Made me wonder who was! LOL!
You mean besides me, of course.
Of course! I’ll feel like I’m at least 10 years younger once I have the baby ...
Got all the Christmas-present notes done, although I have to make a few more Offspring write theirs. “Why do I have to?” says Pat. “It’s a non-optional social convention, Sheldon. Remember, we’re practicing acting like a normal person?” “Oh, right.”
Now we’re sorting shoes. So far, I’ve found five pairs that needed to be thrown away, another five to be donated, and there’s still more in the bottom of the closet.
That is a “given,” Bob. You seem to be going backwards in time. Eventually, you may catch up with the rest of us ~ if we don’t age too quickly! LOL!
Ohwhatfun! I’m just trying to clean house to catch up with what I haven’t felt like doing for so long. *sigh* I may get one or two things done today, if I’m lucky.
I’m already tired.
However, I will do what I can do and let the elves do the rest. They’ve been pretty lazy since the 24th!
The difference between going backwards in time, in the fashion I suppose of Benjamin Button, and "getting younger", is that time is a difficult dimension in which to travel, other than going along with the flow, but getting younger is merely a cultivation of youthfulness; its attitudes and energies.
The young are fascinated by the wonders of the world, its rainbows and quirky gadgets like spinning tops and magnetism. They are spellbound by its flashy colors and bright images, the hummingbirds of thought that flit into our consciousness to coalesce our focus, and then disappear again.
I pursue these things, not in hopes of catching them, but because I wish to live among them, and have them surround me like mental toys and playthings.
The cleanup has been derailed because all the participants needed to eat (and a Restorative). We’re in search of two missing “Thomas the Tank Engine” puzzle pieces, which we had just yesterday when the puzzle was opened.
Wellnow. It seems I heard on some brainiac science show that going back in time, were it possible, would only take one as far as the day the time machine was actually functioning.
Your take on time and Time is much more interesting than mine, for sure!
Time is complex, but that doesn’t mean we have to take it seriously.
One more puzzle piece to go! Then the personnel can have pie.
As a birthday song it is not exactly cheery but very honest!
Thanks Ladies!
How sweet of you to remember. :-)
Delayed Boxing Day observance ...
There wasn’t any mail yesterday, can’t send boxes.
They probably had mail in Japan.
They TOLD me it would be there yesterday. They lied.
Wellden! LOL!
This morning, someone was kind enough to take me to the PO, but it was EARLY!! I will go tomorrow morning to see what the Teddy Bunneh sent me! It will be so much fun!
And how are you feeling, Ms. Teddy? Did you have a nice Christmas with Mr. Harmless?
