Hi, Jaycee! Am feeling better, thanks - very fatigued, though. I'm going to hit the sack early tonight.

Choices And Consequences
December 28, 2011
In the International Slavery Museum in Liverpool, England, the devastation of generations of enslaved men, women, and children is remembered. The price innocent people have paid for the greed of others is horrificbut theirs is not the only cost. Engraved in a wall of the museum is a profound observation made by Frederick Douglass, former slave and crusader for human rights, which reads, No man can put a chain about the ankle of his fellow man without at last finding the other end fastened about his own neck. In the act of dehumanizing others, we dehumanize ourselves.
The apostle Paul put it another way when he wrote, Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap (Gal. 6:7). Pauls words form a stark reminder to us that our choices have consequencesand that includes how we choose to treat others. When we choose to hate, that hate can return to us in the form of consequences that we can never fully prepare for. We can find ourselves alienated from others, angry with ourselves, and hamstrung in our ability to serve Christ effectively.
Instead, lets choose not [to] grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap . . . . As we have opportunity, let us do good to all (vv.9-10).
Sowing seeds of greed and hatred
Reaps corruption, loss, and pain;
But if we sow love and kindness,
We will reap eternal gain. Sper
The seeds we sow today
determine the kind of fruit well reap tomorrow.
Read: Galatians 6:1-10
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
Galatians 6:7

Thank you ladies - last year, in Spain, as the birthday boy I had to buy dinner for 18 as is the custom there.
This year I am older and smarter. I fled to a grest country where the opposite is true I can dine on gourmet food, fine wines with coffee and cognac to follow without a care in the world.
I could get used to this...

Mentioning slavery ... the most horrific today is very real and growing and that is human trafficking. Young girls taken, fooled, or lured into a place where that are changed quickly, hair cut, colored, dress changed, and moved quickly out of the area, If they can not be found in the first 24 hours chances are slim of ever getting them back. They are given drugs and are under constant supervision, imprisonment of their captors. They are constantly moved from area to area. Right under our noses and few if any of the customers make a call for them or do anything to help. SHAMFUL! They keep their self clear of trouble.
This happens with boys too. Not much publicity but it is a huge problem. Heavenly Father there are children trapped and exploited in the worst of ways, right here in America, help them LORD, shine the light on the horrors of these children's lives. they are terrified and addicted by their captors, we cry out for help and salvation for these children imprisoned with no way of escape, they are totally dependent on thee LORD, Come to their defense in Jesus name, amen.

Great to see that you stopped by yesterday, DD. It sounds like you had a very special Christmas with the big family gathering. Those times make wonderful Christmas memories.
We used a couple of artificial trees this year. I do miss that wonderful fresh tree smell. I bought a small artificial one several years ago. This year I bought another so we had two. :~)
Been thinking of and praying for you. Praying that the numbers are good so you can restart your chemo treatment tomorrow.
Wishing you a WFWednesday.

It is difficult for me to admit it, but the holidays are getting to be too much. I’m going to have to slow down and just do what I can. It takes toooo long to recuperate.
Marissa is already bored and she has doesn’t go back to school until the 9th.
