I know *sigh* but it's one that gets to the heart of spirit. Last year I sent a link to all my grandchildren so they would know CHRISTmas isn't all about them! :)

I’m doing OKAY!!
After everyone left last night, I cut off all the Christmas lights, etc. and settled down on the couch to watch t.v. and just relax. Well, I woke up at 2:00 and was shocked! Then, I had to finish nightly stuff and go to bed. I slept until 7:30 and yet, I’ve been sleepy all day. I guess it caught up with me after I once relaxed.
Everything was wonderful and I’m glad I got through it. When I did relax, I passed out....LOL!
Hope your Christmas was nice, too!! I’m getting ready to have a big shrimp cocktail now. I ate ham rolls for breakfast/lunch about 11:30!

Long time ago when I was in high school choir we sang “And The Glory of the Lord” in our Christmas concert. Brought back great memories.

Me too, Meg. I sorta have a let-down feeling when all the fun and happiness is over. (not the work though.) I realize the true meaning of Christmas and how important it is that its the birthday of Jesus being born and suffered death for all of our sins. That joy is inside us and it makes us different, happy people wanting to share everything with everyone.
If only we would have that feeling ALL the time it would be a better world. And I’m a good one to preach....LOL!
I guess you’ve been so busy and so have I that we haven’t kept in touch by our usual emailing! At first, I didn’t think I could do it but I decided to try as hard as I could to make it work out. They all love to come here for that special evening and we’ve done it for years. I just asked the Lord to stay by my side and help me and if He hadn’t, I wouldn’t have made it.
It sounds like what you had planned was a pretty wonderful day and by now its all over. I guess all of you had a great time being with your friends and enjoying all that delicious food. I have been thinking of that baklava...I love it and can get it at the Mad Greek. I may have to indulge in that this coming week. I look at it every time I go there but it looks like calories but its really worth it. It is one of the richest desserts ever! And the best!
