This is a video of the world's tiniest V-12 engine being made by hand-built craftsmanship. Now the video does not say this, but I'm guessing the motor works off compression ignition like a diesel. Which would be similar to the way an R/C car that runs on gas. This would explain why their is no lubricant added to the engine. The lubricant is in the fuel. It has 12 cm^3 of displacement, the cylinder bore is 11.3 mm and stroke of the pistons is 10 mm. Works with just 0.1 Kg/cm^2. It is constructed of stainless steel, aluminum and bronze. The creator is Patelo who dedicated the engine to his 4 oldest grandchildren: Sara, Carmen, Jose and Paul.
What the man does in this video, is similar to those Cubans who build boats out of "57" Chevy's to get to America. No amount of tyranny will ever stop the human spirit from accomplishing what it desires.
This is why Obama and the rest of the totalitarian minded thugs will lose in the end, regardless the country they rule.
Video Ping
Incredibly Cool video of a working miniature V-12 engine being made by hand.
This is the V-12 that will be in new cars. Just think of the mileage!
There are two things which have always struck me as literally beyond belief. One is the workings of an old Swiss, or any other country for that matter, watch.
The other is a crankshaft. Those things just have to be incredibly complex to manufacture, yet they have been making them for a very long time.
Thank you. I love good news.
3/4 CID or, if you prefer, about .1 liters. Nice.
If you mean by the fact that humans are still achieving incredible feats regardless of the left constantly trying to stop us, then I agree.
However, as far as the advantage an engine like this offers.
I would say other than bragging rights by the man who did it, it’s pretty useless. Still way cool, but useless just the same.
The engine is way too small, and even if it were not, the cost of mass producing it would be incredibly way too expensive to be cost effective. As you see, it was hand made, so it took incredible patience. He put 1220 hours of labor into it.
However, the human spirit is incredible, and that which man can create is limitless when government is not hindering the progress.
Would love to know more about this inventor/mechanic, and the process by which he reverse-engineered a real fullsized V-12, and which V-12 he is fact based his engine on.
Thank you, that is amazing craftsmanship.
Absolutely amazing, OneVike! Thanks for posting!!
Just imagine the emissions - the EPA has to shut this man down!
Thanks, it is amazing.
I bet it would work great in my model airplane! Think of the horsepower!
There are some talented craftsmen out there
This guy makes building an engine look easy. This is a fun project.
The V-12 engine has been in existence for decades. The reason you're probably unaware of this fact is because they're being used by little know automakers such as Aston Martin, Rolls Royce, BMW, Jaguar, Ferrari, Bugatti and the Toyota Century..........
One heck of an engineer and machinist. Way Kooool. thanks
How ya doing Vike???
Wouldn't that be seahorsepower?
This one does.
