Here is something from Wikipedia... "The first mention of Nimrod is in the Table of Nations.[1] He is described as the son of Cush, grandson of Ham, and great-grandson of Noah; and as "a mighty one on the earth" and "a mighty hunter before God". This is repeated in First Book of Chronicles and the "Land of Nimrod", used as a synonym for Assyria, is mentioned in the Book of Micah."

The thing I find interesting is how the bible describes Nimrod as "a mighty one on the earth". This kind of phraseology typically is used when describing the offspring of the fallen angels (the sons of God saw the daughters of men, and took whomever they chose to be their wives... and those offspring were called mighty men of renown"... Nimrod could have been a halfbreed, part human and part fallen angel... could be...

We are singing from the same hymnal.;-)

I suggest they never went away...they just hid. Just a suggestion...no proof.

Hmmm, at what point in time? IIRC, initially it was Assur, then Shubat-Enlil, then Calah (Numrud?), I think there was another one whose name I can't remember before it finally became Nineveh.

That, of course, begs the question of what is the capital of Sumer?

My thought is that other angels have left heaven for earth, but are not part of the original crowd that was locked up in the bottomless pit for procreating with mankind and possibly involved in genetic engineering. Certainly there were giants in Canaan when God told the Israelites to go and take the land as their inheritance from Him. “As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be at the coming of the Son of man”... they will be back, perhaps as aliens from beyond our atmosphere... eyes wide open is my modo; fall for nothing, and consider everything...
