COLLEGE STATION - Texas A&M senior kicker Randy Bullock plans to return to Kyle Field in coming years and absorb a decidedly different conference schedule.
"It will definitely be a little weird," Bullock said of a league slate that includes a bundle of Southeastern Conference squads and is minus rival Texas. "Our war hymn is about the University of Texas. But you just move on and figure out who your new rival will be."

Who is in the Big ? today????
I always wished the University of Florida, was Florida University instead.
It would make it so much fun when people ask me where I went to school.
A&M having a choice, chose to go to a better conference, where they will get beat like a drum, never get into a BCS game and the Aggie alumni and player’s parents will have to travel out of state to see any of the Aggie road games.
“My little brother came up with stuff like that, too.”
Did your little brother also like to grab his testicles and squeeze really hard?
Aggies have them!
On the other hand, the TAMU Corps will win over the SEC, no doubt. May God bless them all.
Well, that was like the last time I went to it. Have they moved to the Black and Decker Leaf Blower or Stanley Combination Ratchet and Nut Driver Set Independence Bowl?
So, why is a tea-sipper trolling on a conservative site? Do they block gay porn at work? Have you decided that Obama can’t? Or are you just another tea shirt sip that thinks a homosex-centric, ultra-lib institution like t.u. actually represents a conservative state like Texas?
I have always liked Texas A&M. I also like traditions.
They need to change a couple tho. Get rid of the all male cheerleaders whatever you call them. Actually if I had my way, no men’s sports would have any male cheerleaders.
Also get rid of the idea that it was anyone but the teams fault if they lose. I like the idea of taking responsibility but pretending it was because you didn’t yell loud enough is simple dishonesty.
Also anything which even hints at being gay. Yes, I know they aren’t really gay but it just looks bad, even weird.
Honestly, I think it should have been done years ago.
Or, for decades, we should have sung the first verse for all schools BUT t.u., and the second verse for “texas university” only...........
My $0.02.
OK, Iowa, and Kansas (6 teams) aren't out of state?
Is that how they teach geography at tu?
Playing Alabama and LSU every year will be a lot more fun than Kansas and Iowa.
Also, it’s the War Hymn.
Wrong on all counts (and isn't it hard to type 'homosex-centric' when you're clutching your testicles with a bunch of your buddies?). The University of Texas is among the three universities from which I earned degrees, so I'm not a 'tea [sic] shirt sip.' Austin is outrageously liberal, as is the University of Texas. On the other hand, any University of Red State is too liberal to represent the Red State, as is the city in which University of Red State is located. Austin is an extreme example of that.
Texas A&M has represented our country proudly in war and is a very conservative university. It has some great traditions. But at Texas Tech, SMU, University of Houston, Baylor, Abilene Christian - not just the University of Texas . . . and in the high schools and gas stations and churches and ranches across Texas, Texans who aren't Aggies will tell you that Aggies are just a little bit 'odd.'
Let’s see the University of Texas at Austin does have more than 50,000 students and does have the highest academic standards for admission than any other public university in the state.
The sports program brings in more cash than any university in the nation and it has the largest endowment of any university in the nation.
And the football team has been know to win national championships and Texas has one more than twice as many games against A&M than A&M has won against Texas.
I don't believe that's true. Harvard still has the largest. Because so much of UT's endowment is Permanent University Fund, it fluctuates with the price of oil and gas. I believe UT's endowment is now #4, behind Harvard, Yale, and Princeton. UT is close to Princeton and Yale, but only about half of Harvard's endowment.
As a Texan (three generations of my family were there before 1836) and an American, I'm proud that Texas A&M is a Texas university and that Aggies are Texans. It's an excellent university, the Corps has served our nation with distinction, and frankly, you're good people. Gig 'em! and best of luck in the SEC.
Thank you.
I know that when our Bonfire collapsed, there were many teasips who DEFENDED that Aggie tradition in many online forums.
Ags and teasips understand each other better than we understand the rest of the country ....
... and listen to me, I’m getting ready to send a child to Texas Tech!!!
haha on me....
Your apology is accepted but probably not necessary.
Hook 'em and Gig 'em.
