So, why is a tea-sipper trolling on a conservative site? Do they block gay porn at work? Have you decided that Obama can’t? Or are you just another tea shirt sip that thinks a homosex-centric, ultra-lib institution like t.u. actually represents a conservative state like Texas?
Wrong on all counts (and isn't it hard to type 'homosex-centric' when you're clutching your testicles with a bunch of your buddies?). The University of Texas is among the three universities from which I earned degrees, so I'm not a 'tea [sic] shirt sip.' Austin is outrageously liberal, as is the University of Texas. On the other hand, any University of Red State is too liberal to represent the Red State, as is the city in which University of Red State is located. Austin is an extreme example of that.
Texas A&M has represented our country proudly in war and is a very conservative university. It has some great traditions. But at Texas Tech, SMU, University of Houston, Baylor, Abilene Christian - not just the University of Texas . . . and in the high schools and gas stations and churches and ranches across Texas, Texans who aren't Aggies will tell you that Aggies are just a little bit 'odd.'
Let’s see the University of Texas at Austin does have more than 50,000 students and does have the highest academic standards for admission than any other public university in the state.
The sports program brings in more cash than any university in the nation and it has the largest endowment of any university in the nation.
And the football team has been know to win national championships and Texas has one more than twice as many games against A&M than A&M has won against Texas.
