WASHINGTON, DC – Michael Moore said that his next documentary will prove that Jesus was gay.
Speaking at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Friday, Michael Moore, told the audience that he is working hard on his next documentary, currently entitled – “Jesus Was Gay.”
I know more about religion than anybody on the planet, including the Pope, the filmmaker, wearing his trademark trucker cap, told an auditorium comprised of a few hundred students, faculty and news media.
The liberal filmmaker was invited to the Catholic school to discuss his book, Here Comes Trouble. But he also spoke at length about health care, young voters disenchantment with President Barack Obama and the need for the wealthy to pay higher taxes. He said affluent Americans seemed happy when their income was taxed at a higher rate (60 and 70 percent).
Moore, who was raised Catholic, used Christian themes throughout his speech. He then made his surprising comment:
You know those 12 men Jesus was always hanging out with? he said to laughter. “You know what that means.” He went to explain that it wasn’t a joke and that he has done extensive documentary research and talked to people that have examined artifacts that prove Jesus was gay. Moore even talked about Jesus loving musicals. “He was a real song-and-dance man,” Moore said.
Moore made a few more provocative comments during the question-and-answer portion of his talk. When asked by a student, if Moore himself was gay, Moore shouted back. “Hell no!!” He later clarified his statement, saying he would like to be gay, but no gay man would have him because he is a big, fat slob.
Another student asked about the 2004 documentary, Michael Moore Hates America and why Moore declined to participate in it. Moore said he doesnt hate America and those who disagree with his political views dont either.
I assume Republicans love this country. I start with that assumption, he said.
Moore said his “Jesus Was Gay” documentary will be out in time for Christmas this year. “It’s my gift to Christians.” Moore said.
Apparently you are unfamiliar with the art styles of the past which often depict such affection between friends of the same sex, or the fact that in other cultures even today, men and women are often more affectionate with friends of the same sex than in the US. And with homosexuality utterly condemned in Jesus time, (and in other times and places), friends of the same sex werent afraid of being thought a pervert to express friendly affection.
On the Big Island in HI in the early 80s Ive seen Filipino and Samoan men walking down the street holding hands - they were not perverts, they were recent immigrants. Ive had friends from the PI and China who were much more affectionate with friends of the same sex than Americans and they were definitely NOT homosexuals.
Additionally, if you think seriously or even toss around the idea that either Jesus or one of his disciples was a homosexual, you are morally and spiritually blind.
Just noticed it’s “satire”. I wish these satire articles were more clearly marked; there was one the other day which had all kinds of actual real quotes.
IBTZ
Where do you people come from anyway?
Exactly - they’re happy to jump on the bandwagon of offense.
How could anyone tell this was satire?
Besides one of the last lines about himself and being gay towards the end. It’s the only line in the whole thing that is not believable.
Considering the contents, it's one of those ones that is hard to tell, the old *satire shouldn't be SO close to reality* ones.
Honestly, I'm surprised that no one has done this before.
I am pleased that you have explained that DJ - some people on here, no doubt, would not be aware of that.
NONE of those paintings are contemporary to Jesus.
You are telling me that the medieval painters were not contemporaries of Jesus. You will be telling me next that the earth is not flat, that witches do not the cause droughts, that the earth is not the center of the universe and that women are not the devil's spawn.
Have a care MacWOW.
Hey troll why don't you try answering my earlier questions.
Let me get this straight, you believe (based on your interpretation of some old paintings) that either:
A. Jesus Christ was a homosexual.
B. St. John the Apostle was a homosexual.
or
C. St. John was a woman.
Is this correct? YES or NO
I'm not the one making ridiculous comments.
Apparently this is “satire” but since it’s something a number of people right here on FR are ready to high five.
If you continue in this asinine vein you get the zot. Period.
If FR is not your cup of tea, just leave:

Are you telling us they ARE? (Just to clear things up here)
"Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap."
Galatians 6:7
Oh, so despite the warning, you are going to continue in this asinine vein, huh?
Good luck with that.
Thank you Jim. There are plenty of other places we can go to see that crap. It’s a blessing not to have to be assaulted with it here.

Soon!
