Don't like Perry? How about promoting your candidates positives?
8/27/11 | Listenhillary

We are adults and most on FR are very intelligent persons. I think we can decide if a candidate is right for us.

How about stop repeating the same Gardasil, Texas corridor, immigration stories over and over and over. Most have seen them by now if they have been paying attention. Most have judged the stories and condemn Perry to hell for them or they think that a president just might have different priorities than a state governor.

Screaming at us in all caps isn't going to change any minds. FR isn't the entire universe of voters. We are a very small pool of voters. If you're hell bent on trashing a candidate, it is likely that your efforts are wasted trying to persuade FR posters to change their minds about a candidate. Start standing out by the road with a sign telling your horror stories, pestering people in restaurants and buying billboards and advertising in newspapers and TV. You will have much more impact.

If you insist on cherry picking the negatives, can we do the same to you reviewing every decision and action that you have taken in your life? How would that work out for you? Honestly showing everything you have done, could you withstand the scrutiny?

I realize some of you insist that we are making a horrible mistake. The primary isn't until next year. Stop screaming. OK?

People are missing the obvious, here. If you can opt out, why even have a ‘mandatory’ law to begin with?!?!?! Nanny state insanity at its finest.

In 2001, Perry signed into law the first state “DREAM Act,” which allows children of illegal immigrants to pay in-state tuition at state universities as long as they graduated from a Texas high school and are working toward attaining citizenship.

We've been over this.

You have a double-standard.

Just like a Democrat.

The comment about the free tuition refers to elementary and high schools here in Texas. That is free to Illegals somehow, although I haven’t figured out how as the school my grandson attends is requesting a social security card for him for some reason.
And the illegal in college is still occupying a position that in my opinion should have been occupied by a legal resident. Most state universities in Texas are full and turn legal students away which then deprives them of the education that is afforded to an illegal squatter who has no legal right to be in the State!

Tagging Perry as a RINO and a leftist criminal because his position on illegal immigration is the same as Sarah Palin's position ...

See Palin's October 2008 interview with Jorge Ramos

... is not "vetting," it's not even partisan bickering, it's mindless ovine bleating. It's also more popularly known as hypocrisy.

So desperate... bless your heart for trying. I’m sure you’ll be incredibly valuable to Jimmy Rick. /snicker.

Sarah Palin favors a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants. I’m sure that your hypocrisy unasked-for sycophancy and idolatry isn’t doing Sarah “quitter” Palin a lick of good.

I would guess others have hammerred you over this but the business school tuition at UT for residents is 5369.00 for 2011-2012 and the out-of-state tuition rate is 17824.00. Therefore the Texas taxpayer is subsidizing the illegals by almost 12,000 dollars per school year.
What sense does it make for the state to allow someone not legally here to even be there in the first place, and secondly pay 12,000 less than a legal resident from any other state in the US. We have not annexed the Mexican states, yet!
I’d say over 3 X more is a considerable difference in rates.

Ah, so now we see... 'Quitter' from someone who is allegedly ok with Palin.

With each post, you reveal more and more your motives. But that's to be expected from someone pushing compassionate illegal immigration and the guy putting the interest of illegals over Texas and US citizens.

Keep digging your ditch.

You keep posting that link, seemingly unaware of her 2010 interview, in which she apparently advocates a guest worker program instead of a "path to citizenship." Still too squishy on immigration for me though.

Video of Palin on immigration 2010

I want to give Perry the benefit of the doubt on amnesty, but your posts, pushing amnesty and Perry at the same time, do not help his cause.

I am and have been critical of Perry and several other Reps. I have no candidate at this point. Most of them will not win an general against 0 and that includes Perry. The middle WILL NOT vote for another Texan for president so soon after W. Take that to the bank.

“They belittle, harass, harangue and attempt to intimidate others posting well sourced information about Perry.”

I see that a lot more from Perry supporters.

I've seen one post anti Palin comments within the initial comments of a pro Perry thread. I advised the individual that "She (Palin) really owns your soul!"

No, it’s a copy & paste boilerplate ad hominem tour de force you can find on the net if you’re too lazy or stupid to write your own.
