Don't like Perry? How about promoting your candidates positives?

We are adults and most on FR are very intelligent persons. I think we can decide if a candidate is right for us.

How about stop repeating the same Gardasil, Texas corridor, immigration stories over and over and over. Most have seen them by now if they have been paying attention. Most have judged the stories and condemn Perry to hell for them or they think that a president just might have different priorities than a state governor.

Screaming at us in all caps isn't going to change any minds. FR isn't the entire universe of voters. We are a very small pool of voters. If you're hell bent on trashing a candidate, it is likely that your efforts are wasted trying to persuade FR posters to change their minds about a candidate. Start standing out by the road with a sign telling your horror stories, pestering people in restaurants and buying billboards and advertising in newspapers and TV. You will have much more impact.

If you insist on cherry picking the negatives, can we do the same to you reviewing every decision and action that you have taken in your life? How would that work out for you? Honestly showing everything you have done, could you withstand the scrutiny?

I realize some of you insist that we are making a horrible mistake. The primary isn't until next year. Stop screaming. OK?

A bar is closing somewhere in this world. Here’s your tab: Move along off this thread.

Cool. And on your next "we want money thread", I'll be in the same bar.

You do realize that you are conflating the present day Global-warming Jesus known as Al Gore with the Al Gore of 1988... who had not even heard of the concept. And then saying Perry’s was a fool for supporting a candidate that, 20 years in his future, would turn into that.

Talk about foolish. For then, we all are guilty liberals here. What with our votes for Bush... who governed as a big-government, spend-spend-spend liberal. We should known then about the actions of Bush in the years that followed, right?

Errr... alright so ‘fooling around’ is a voluntary conscious action so wouldn't it be THE RESPONSIBILITY of the people engaged in such action to ensure their own health.

Instead of the Government dictating a MANDATORY vaccine for EVERYBODY regardless of their situation?

Doesn't that make sense as a CONSERVATIVE?!

I think this tread has been instructive.

I am sick to death of pointing fingers at FReepers while Obama plays golf.

You forgot that he is a secret agent of George Soros and the Rotschilds after being programmed to serve the New World Order at Bilderburg! AAAAAAA!!!

Oh, well, then he's my candidate. What with my birthright membership in ZOG, I'm looking for a candidate that will allow me more control of all these snivelling peons. (look it up in Wikipedia to get the joke)

:-P

DRey,

I have heard that it is now close to $30,000.00 per person to go through the citizenship process. This is something I want to confirm, but I have heard that from a good enough source that I feel that is probably fairly accurate. Also, our married daughter has some friends (another married couple) currently going through that process, and I know they have had to come up with just around $60,000.00 for them both to go through the citizenship process.

I know the DREAM Act does not set well with people, but it does make me step back and think how little the discount for an in-state tuition for residents in the citizenship process already is when compared to the costs they are undertaking to become a United States Citizen. And I’ve not even mentioned the WORK that goes with becoming an American citizen!

While these residents that are in the citizenship process may be getting an in-state rate, I hardly think they are getting something for free.

I’m afraid we’re going to have to cut our teeth on each other before we tear “the one” to ribbons.

Do you remember 6th grade?

Yup we was bastions of morality in those days.
Yes indeed.
As a mater of fact I was smarter then, than I am now.

Comon! Guardisil is a ridiculous argument! /s

No one is against mentioning issues with a candidate.

The problem is trolling. There's a cabal of the bored laying down a thick layer of distortions, half-truths, silliness and fabrications on thread after thread.

Friday we even saw one post an image of Jesus with Perry's face superimposed and a caption along the lines of, "He is the messiah! Rick Perry's the only democrat who can save us from Obama!"

These folks don't suggest alternatives, don't scrutinize their own candidates or even post about their own choices.

They belittle, harass, harangue and attempt to intimidate others posting well sourced information about Perry.

They're not interested in facts, just attacks they do not substantiate.

That is pertaining to residents who are in the process of their U.S. Citizenship. If you don’t like the U.S. citizenship process, then perhaps you should take that up with The U.S. Immigration Service, not Texas.

I guess the real question was “how are you going to verify who, out of those living in Texas, are supposed to get in-state or out-of-state tuition”.

Proof of residency is a home address, which would be in Texas... leading toward in-state tuition fees.

Wrong. Again.

Amherst College is a private liberal arts college located in Amherst, Massachusetts, United States. Amherst is an exclusively undergraduate four-year institution[3]

The info from the page that you linked refers to graduate programs in general...of other institutions. Go to the menu on the left side of the page. Click on "application process." Now do you get it? These are guides to applying to other colleges for grad school, because Amherst doesn't offer graduate degrees.

Read this:Carnegie Foundation

Look under "Classification." Then look at what it says next to "Graduate Instructional Program.(not applicable)

Wow, that didn't even come close to addressing my points. Let's try this again. Where does a governor (let's say of any state and of any political party) get the right to force a vaccine of a non-contagious disease on the general population?! So let's forget about the absurdity of imposing this little tested drug on all 6th grade girls and just think about how nanny state, big government that particular executive order is. Hmmmmm.... So is this really a discussion about the morality of little children? hmmmmm

You seem to be overlooking or unaware that those students are not simply college students from somewhere else. Those are the residents (adhering to in-state time requirements) who are already in the process of going through their U.S. Citizenship process. I would think that if someone has a problem with the United States Citizenship process as it is, then they should talk to The United States Immigration Service to get all that changed there. Otherwise, Texas is only granting in-state tuition to residents in the citizenship process on the federal level and who will be U.S. Citizens whether you like it or not.

They usually learn something from the experience. Sadly, it's generally little more then "Don't argue with Steel Wolf."

Well my husband's motto is "Happy wife. Happy life."

Whatever works. :)
