He deserves it!
Newt was right to attack him and his line of questions. The audience agreed.
This wasn't his tv show. People wanted to hear the candidates discuss important issues.
You embarrassed yourself, Chris. (Though Newt did a good job of making you look like a jerk)
Susan Ferrechio did the best job of any of them.
Chris Wallace in the last year has gone over the edge to see whose is nuttier his againg Dad or Chris.
The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree
Chris is an UNMANNERLY TWIT who needs to be brought down a few pegs!!
He really has gone down hill.
“You embarrassed yourself, Chris.”
Yeah, recent interviews haven’t gone well for little Chris. He stepped in some poo poo when he interviewed Saraha Palin awhile back and he did the same with Michelle Bachman last night. Interesting that he only asks these provocative questions of women, and conservative women at that, isn’t it? Personally, I think Chrisy is outing his inner dislike of conservative women, especially intelligent and attractive conservative women. Time to quit sitting around eating all that soup Chris and go get some help....
Moreover, in this particular case, Wallace's question was completely valid -- if Newt cannot keep a campaign organization together, what is the evidence that he can build a team to run the Executive Branch?
I disagree. I thought he asked good, hard questions.
Yup, the majority of the questions to the candidates went like this:
FoxNews: “You once said_____ but in 2005 you________.
Gotcha questions!
Very few if any: “How would you deal with this situation___?
It was apparent he is a Ron Paul fan.
It wasn’t just his question to Newt.
His opening questions all had a personal jab to them. They were questions he would ask on his interview show....this wasn’t his show.
Wallace intentionally started an argument between Bachman & Pawlenty. What was the point of that?
They are both good Democratic doggies slobbering for their masters.
Michelle Bachmann, you once said a woman should submit to her husband, if you were President how would you BLAH BLAH BLAH?
Candidate 2: “25 years ago you promised ______ but in 1990_____. How can we trust you?
No substance in the questions. They were questions designed to try to get good soundbites to promote their programs. Not to inform the American voter.
As much as most of us are not fans of Newt and know he is unelectable - we were all cheering his reply back to Wallace. It was a night of gotcha questions, and questions designed to have the candidates turn on each other, just as Newt said.
But Newt was correct, we wanted to hear their ideas for America not to watch them squirm trying to answer childish questions more suited to "The View" than a serious venue.
Not sure how long he can keep his Sunday prime spot acting like this. Brit Hume must be concerned.
Totally agree with you comment. I did not see anything wrong with the question; however, Newt’s response was anything but professional. He may have had the right to make the statement, but the manner and tone leave a lot to be desired...especially if you are looking for a President.
I thought he was fine as well. The point of the primary and these debates is to vet these candidates. If anyone thinks Wallace is unfair or tough, wait till our eventual nominee is questioned by the MSM in the presidential debates - it'll get much worse.
So let Wallace ask the tough, and perhaps sometimes confrontational, questions now and see how our candidates respond. Let them deal with adversity and see how they handle with it.
Newt's problem is people don't like him very much. I get tired of him mentioning his third wife all the time!
He's in it to sell books, IMO.
“He stepped in some poo poo when he interviewed Saraha Palin awhile back and he did the same with Michelle Bachman last night.”
What about when he asked Michele B., “Are you a flake?” Maybe he’s a misogynist with the types of condescending questions he puts to female interviewees.
