The Soldier’s Code

1) I am an American fighting man. I serve in the forces which guard my country and our way of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense.

2) I will never surrender of my own free will. If in command, I will never surrender my men while they still have the means to resist.

3) If I am captured, I will continue to resist by all means available. I will make every effort to escape and aid others to escape. I will accept neither parole nor special favors from the enemy.

4) If I become a prisoner of war, I will keep faith with my fellow prisoners. I will give no information or take part in any action which might be harmful to my comrades. Soooo Cute! I can identify with that poem.

I once painted the walls when I was barely a toddler.

I didn’t have any paint so I used something within easy reach that I had on me.

It is still morning here for another 15 minutes, so ..... Good morning, Friends.
Sorry that I have been gone much of the time recently.

I think I've gotten off track ... I just can't seem to get here as often as I would like.

Marissa started to school on the 10th Oh My!
Last year, she caught the bus at 7:40 .. This year she has to catch it at 6:50.
I'm already tired of crawling out of bed at 5:30.
I can't imagine what it will be like when the time changes.
Marissa had a dentist appt Saturday for cleaning and
she has another this afternoon with the orthodontist.

It seems that I neglected so much over the summer that I will never catch up.

I noticed the time on your post...does this thread run on Central time because it was 3:17 in Tennessee and I guess 2:15, Central time. So I just had laid down for my nap, of course. I posted a pretty piece earlier by Mother Teresa and answered some pings so by the time you were on, I was already winding down....LOL!

Don’t worry, nobody really EVER catches up in life. And if I was raising a child at this age like you are.....I don’t know if I would be able! Kudo’s to you, friend! Thank goodness, you don’t have my health problems! PTL!

It seems that the phone call before noon, pushed me into afternoon to post the “Good Morning”.

My post shows 12:17 here so that would have been 3:17 your time.

We just got home from the dentist .... we did stop at Burger King to get her a hamburger. I will fix her a light dinner later. She is working on homework that I will need to check soon.
