The woman, known only as juror number 12 left her job and went into hiding fearing co-workers would 'want her head on a platter'.

Her husband said before leaving she told him: 'I’d rather go to jail than sit on a jury like this again.'

He told NBC News he was worried for her health and had his bags packed ready to leave if his 60-year-old wife's name gets released.

The woman, who moved to Florida from Michigan fled the area, retiring from her job working at Publix Grocery over the phone because she didn't feel safe.

A ‘Damn Yankee’ is someone who lived all their lives in a cesspool and wants to enjoy their final years in a clean swimming pool, but they bring their cesspool environment with them...............

She ain’t laughing it up with her new buddies anymore like reported so many times as they went into the juror room. Can’t wrap my mind around the lunacy. Nobody followed instructions as the court dictated. Get what you deserve when you don’t take responsibility seriously...

I really don’t care.

They likely don’t want to look at her face either.... Fear of life? I don’t buy it one bit, but I wouldn’t be able to look her in the face everyday if she worked with me. Move along.

Or maybe she did get a big enough offer...big enough to quit her job....

That’s what happens when you make the (very common) mistake of thinking “beyond a reasonable doubt” means “beyond ALL doubt.”

Good comment. I'm going to have to quote you on that.

If she had done the right thing she wouldn’t have this problem now would she?

I call BS. She didn’t get a big enough offer from the media so she’s ramping up the drama.

I was thinking along those lines too...

There seem to be a number of remorseful jurors coming forward. What were they thinking when they decided on a not guilty charge?

Roger that. When there’s no other reasonable explanation, that’s what you’re supposed to figure out. So many don’t/
*sigh*

Media hype is the problem. No one will kill them.

I somehow managed to not know anything about this story until about 2-3 weeks ago. I’ve still managed to know very little, and aim to keep it that way. This is my first post on any of the threads.

They were laughing in the jury room? Wow.

I think these people were assuming they were going to be rolling in the big bucks like the OJ jurors were. They didn’t take into account the fury of the fact that this was a TWO YEAR OLD CHILD and not a middle aged woman and waiter. While OJ’s victims were sympathetic, Caylee makes us feel much higher fury because she was so young.

Total agreement here.

Let me fix that last sentence....

What? Were they thinking? They decided on a not guilty charge?

First, I suspect what we have here is someone who is way too dramatic. She needs to get a grip.

Second, the fact that she was originally from the North means nothing. There are plenty of stupid Southern juries out there. Most of the “jackpot” tort and product liability verdicts used to come from the South.

Finally, WTF was this woman thinking? Did she think she could render a verdict like this and not be criticized? More evidence of stupidity.

There was much less crime in the good old days of sane people with access to a rope and a tree.
