There are also sure to be courtroom fireworks as the State gives it rebuttal and the case is expected to be sent to the jury.

Well it’s pure ignorance more than anything. I’ve been a lawyer for 27 yrs so I don’t recall having that misapprehension. I disabuse people of the notion whenever I see it. My kids aren’t laboring under it, that’s for sure.
If either of the guys casey was boinking during June were bad guys, they probably would have tried to link one of them to the murder! I think the newer boyfriend freaked out when he learned the child had been missing and he had been around her and realized that she was just happy and carefree during that time. The tape they played today where she asked folks at home for his phone number was kind of creepy because I doubt he would have accepted any calls from her at that point!
I did see a quick run down of the jury box and the gallery above but it would be great to see a diagram online somewhere. I loved for it and oddly enough I came up empty.
Do you honestly believe that if this was not a young white girl but a black girl or a Muslim that this 24 hour side
show with lynch mob panels and fist fights to get in to gawk would be going on?
Not on your life. It would be swept under the rug.

She is pretty hard to take so I’ve had to give up on her also. I found that leading into any show, she always misstated facts as we saw them for ourselves in the courtroom. There are plenty of others who have done the same thing but they don’t have a show on which to display their deception.
Today earlier in some of the posts here, there was discussion about Cindy lying under oath to save Casey. They said that no way would they lie under oath to save a child who had done such a horrendous thing to their grandchild. I agreed tho’ I didn’t get in on the thread at that point. I got lost going back and forth from old to new and back again.
ANYWAY, I heard Nancy Grace say the exact same thing last week - and she’s probably said it more than once. If it came to saving her child’s life, she would LIE UNDER OATH...
She could never deny it as I’m sure there are transcripts of her shows.
It’s Florida- different states call the same offices by different names. Here- we say “the state” when referencing the prosecution. However, the judge calls them ADA’s...so it’s just Florida is...Florida ;) Keep in mind you’re also hearing out of ste people being interviewed too- lawyers etc- so you may hear them using various terms to describe the same thing.
Perry has an excellent reputation, is highly respected and is rarely if ever, over-ruled.
And is it just me, but did you get the sense that her family and friends already KNEW that, and that is why they would not cough up his telephone number?
Yeah, despite the cracks at us on this thread, I’m not a Nancy Grace fan either. I am glad her show keeps the faces of missing children/adults in the public view, but she is annoying. I do like that she pays a tribute to a fallen soldier at the end of each show - that is really touching.
I’m very much ejoying the “company” on this thread...common interest and with an eye on hopeful Justice in this great Land. We celebrate that it’s possible for Justice to prevail...but I am convinced that especially in our day and with the corruption in our governance and courts...it will not come without bended knee...and those He moves to co-operate with his will.

I heard it too and was totally appalled. After all, she's not Joy Behar (who said the same thing)...as an attorney, she's an officer of the court, for God's sake.

It's not black or white thang... it's pretty vs ugly. If Casey was a CUTE black girl... hell yea! Same circus. If she was a woofer... NO TV sensation.
Casey and Cindy did try to pin it on the boyfriend!
Cindy told Padilla, the bounty hunter that he needed to investigate Tony, that he knew more than he was telling. all the while, the ONLY person who knew , Cindy was protecting from any questions.
I can’t decide if you are blaming white America for wanting to see justice against a white American, or wishing this had been a black or muslim girl. You make no sense.
I know- I was pretty discouraged when she said that. Upthread I said I’d die for my son- but I wouldn’t lie for him UNDER OATH in court- and I’m just a layman- imagine if you’re an officer of the court fgs...glad she’s got a tv show now instead of practicing law.
figures... Casey knows well what sof lies work.
Her ONLY hope, IMO, would have been to convince the jury that it was POSSIBLE for someone else to have done it... easier to do that with a boyfriend.
