Good morning, raygun!
Saw my first dragonflies of the year. Nothing exotic but tells me summer has truly arrived. Found that first lady bug on a rose bush leaf today. Gotta be careful clipping those roses! :)

Howdy teenie.
Tan is coming along just fine except for the tanlines when I wear my sandals. And the sun is doing a number on my hair-bleaching the blonde and hiding the gray. :^)
Poppy sitting is goin’ great. Fridays are my day off.

A Matter Of Opinion?
July 1, 2011
We live in an age dominated by all kinds of public opinion polls. Decisions are being driven by the crowd, and some of that is good. Surveys can inform us about peoples experiences with products, helping us make wiser purchases. Opinion polls can give government officials a sense of how their policy initiatives will be received. While information gleaned is a matter of personal opinion, it can be helpful in shaping decision-making on a variety of levels.
But when it comes to the most important question for all eternity, a public opinion poll cannot give us the answer. We must answer for ourselves. In Matthew 16, Jesus took His disciples to Caesarea Philippi and asked a question about public opinion: Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am? (v.13). The answers were varied, and all were complimentarybut none was adequate. Thats why Jesus then asked His disciples, But who do you say that I am? (v.15). Peter got the answer right: You are the Christ, the Son of the living God (v.16).
Public opinion can help answer certain questions, but not the one question that will determine your eternity: Who do you say that Jesus is? If you agree with Scripture, and place your trust in Christ, you will have eternal life.
It doesnt matter what the crowd
Believes about the Lord.
What matters is: Do you believe
What God says in His Word? Sper
Opinion is no substitute for the truth of Gods Word.

Let the Encouragement Flow
TODAYS SCRIPTURE
Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word cheers a person up
(Proverbs 12:25, NLT)
TODAYS WORD from Joel and Victoria
When you see someone who is struggling, a co-worker who is discouraged, a friend who is not up to par, how do you respond? Our words can be what keeps a person going; our compliments can put a spring back into their step. Now more than ever, we need to automatically let the encouragement flow. We need to tell others how much we love them, how we value them, and tell them that they are talented and creative. Always remember, with your words you carry life-giving water. You carry hope, healing, encouragement and new beginnings, and you can pour it out everywhere you go.
Today, choose to speak encouragement. Choose to speak victory and faith. Instead of telling people what theyre doing wrong, instead of pointing out all their faults, find what they are doing right. Focus on the good. There are already enough critical, judgmental people in the world. Lets be people who lift up others and restore them. Lets be the light of Jesus in the world.
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father God, thank You for speaking through me. Thank You for using me to be a blessing to others. Thank You for encouraging my heart as I find ways to encourage the people around me. I love You and bless Your holy Name. In Jesus Name. Amen.
Joel & Victoria Osteen A great one Joel I think.

My broker called me this morning and said, “Remember that stock we bought and I said you’d be able to retire at age 65?”
“Yes, I remember,” I said.
“Well,” my broker continued, “your retirement age is now 108.”
