Most importantly is that their truthfulness with regard to lesser issues like history and politics also strongly suggests that the ancient Hebrew religious beliefs may be just as authentic as well. So libtards, if God says "thou shalt not steal", he means it.

Putting aside the argument about the Bible being the word of God there seems to be an assumption that written history from the ancient era can not be trusted. You see it to a lesser extent in the study of Greek and Roman history. A lot of what is written is dismissed as "propaganda" until they dig up the building or other solid evidence that yes, what was written actually happened.
It is bemusing that they seem to think that during a time when writing was difficult and writing materials were rare and costly our ancestors had nothing better to do then to waste them making up stories.
