I have a suggestion for the software. How about a box that pops up when I'm posting that says something to effect of:
Attention, you've been clicking from thread to thread, and you're about to reply to a topic that has been dead for 3 years, are you sure you want to look like an idiot?
I for one would find it useful.

Wf: I like that, but even better, would be if the software automatically returned you to the post you just replied to. I'm always having to make a mental note of the post number I'm replying to, so that I can quickly find my place in the thread again.
On your keyboard there should be buttons for "Home", "Page Up", "Page Down" and "End". After posting and returning to the top of the thread, using the "End" button will take you to the bottom of the page. If there is only one page of replies, your post should be the last one. To return to the post you are replying to, click on the post# under your reply (example: To 22).
If it's a long thread with more than one page and you are replying to a post on page 1, but your post will show up on the last page, go to the last page and use the same technique.

To get back to your place in the thread, just click the back button a few times. That will take you back to the FReeper you were replying to. To view your reply, just go below the reply and hit the View Replies link below the one you replied to.

I hope that they don’t change anything. It’s taken me 10 years to figure out this site, and if they make changes, well... there’s no telling how long it will take me to get back up to my blazing speed of one post an hour again!

I know those tricks, Jelly, but it would be sorta nice if I didn’t have to resort to them.
Automatically returning to where you left off, would make posting here a much smoother experience.
Now I’m looking for the stuff in the thing so I can go back and tell you.
