Carole King had some great songs but she also knew how to sing them with emotion. Tonight's group just seems to be performing for their three minutes and ehh. That's it.
It could also be that I am punchy tonight.

Scotty picked it. I dunno... I don’t agree with the judges. That version wasn’t even in the same league as Carol or James Taylor either one. Not even close.

Yeah... the lack of emotion is it. Scotty tried to bring the emotion, but that song and country don’t mix well.... in my humble opinion.

I didn’t find it bad. I just wondered because sometimes it seems like they get songs shoved at them. I kind of wish he had picked somethings bit more uptempo, but it wasn’t bad.
