” Id like to see no background singing when the contestant is singing, as well. Or at least a very low volume on the backups mikes.”
It does seem like the backups on occasion are overpowering the lead...
Also, may be my ears, but the sound mix seems way out of wack at times.
” Pets are great but when they leave, it’s a tough slog. “
Know the feeling. We are on our third set of dogs. They become family, and truly do bring comfort in many ways.
Sahsa was fortunate to have such a caring owner.
I just discovered an app that will be perfect for me when I am on the iPad on this long thread! Maybe it will help someone else. It will give you something to click to get to the end of a thread when you are at the top. Actually, may be more useful on otherFR threads because on the AI thread there is an “end” thing. It’s called “end of page”.
Sorry, on these multipage threads the link at the page numbers isn’t “end” but “last.”.
Anyway, the end of page app works and it will be easier to get down threads without scrolling like a hamster.
I don't need one right this minute but I love Maine Coons and I'd love to get another. Sasha was so gentle, friendly and loved when I got her food ready. The cat who loved to eat could not. Happened so fast. Need to frame a pic of her. Have one on the fridge now (her favorite appliance.)
Dramatic weight loss due to completely losing her appetite and she had an excellent appetite even with her digestive problems.
She was fifteen and since she was a stray in 1999 from a shelter, she may have had numerous ailments that never presented.
She was so gentle and a wonderful spirit to have around. Happy go lucky and gentle to the end. Some cats get mean when they get sick. She stayed peaceful and gentle.
I will have my hands full when the other one the same age has problems. That cat hisses and growls and will take a swipe at me if I walk by and she's in a bad mood.
I will need TRANQULIZERS just to transport her. She won't get in a carrier. Have a nice week. FV

Would like to have it, as I use my IPad to read the thread and watch the show at the same time.
Really enjoy the live commentary, and comparison to what we thought we heard.
Don’t post much from it, as I’m still learning how to use it, so rely on the desktop PC for that.
Thanks for sharing.
You will love that app. It’s instaneous unlike finding the “last” link, where there is some lag. It’s especially good for postIng because that always sends you back to the top of the thread (that would be a great improvement if FR would return you after posting to either where you had been before posting, or to your post.). So start posting more ! :)
She sounds so precious. I’m so sorry her life came to an end. It sounded like you gave her a great life though.
The reason I asked is because our British Blue has had digestive problems her whole life, too and thought maybe your vet had some insight. We have to feed our cat small amounts of food every 4 hours. Too much or too far apart and she gets sick. It took me 7 years to figure out that she has an allergy to poultry, so we at least have that. She no longer gets sick after every meal and she doesn’t get chin acne anymore. She gets no grain, no dyes no poultry. This makes it hard to find suitable food for her though as most cat food has chicken flavoring, juices or eggs in it. We tried all wet (rabbit) but there is not enough calories in a wet diet and she lost too much weight. The only dry we can find is the Origen 6 fish.
She doesn’t like it as well as other foods that she can’t have. :( Plus, I’ve read that cats really shouldn’t have too much fish, its hard on their kidneys and requires higher doses of Vitamin E, which Origen does have, but I wish there were better alternatives for her. So, I’m going to try a split. Set her up at night with her feeding dish having three compartments of dry then during the day she can have three of the wet. Natural Instincts has 2 wet foods that she can have, the venison and the rabbit. Fortunately she likes both of them.
Until last summer we had to take ours to the vet every six weeks for a steroid shot and the price of that kept creeping higher and higher. Plus it can be hard on their liver so the vet always had to run tests to make sure it was ok to giver her the shot and she had to be above a certain weight and because of her getting sick there were times that weight goal was hard to meet. We take her in every year for her annual and everything is always good, nothing presents as a problem so I just wondered how Sasha’s annual visits went.
” You will love that app”
Thanks loaded, tested, great improvement.
Didn’t it used to do that? Go back to where you left off when you posted? I’m talking a long time back.
Here’s an Idol tid bit
http://entertainment.gather.com/viewArticle.action?articleId=281474979237368
American Idol judge Randy Jackson is even tossing in his own ideas about a possible change that the series might need to prevent eliminations like the shocking Toscano ouster in recent weeks.
He said the following in an interview with Ryan Seacrest and E! News over the weekend: “We might need to have, in the top 13, one save, and then in the top 10up to the top five, another save, because I felt that Pia was starting to hit her stride...I think we have to come up with some sort of systembecause what we want, ultimately, Ryan, is a duel to the finish. The two best ones to be there at the end, duking it out.”
I do remember that FR used to take you back to the post you were reading when you posted! That was how it should have stayed!
Oh my gosh, Randy and Nigel, did you ever think that America got it right? Everywhere you read about the idols online, people were very impressed immediately with pia’s great voice. Then, as the weeks went on, she never grew. I was only one of millions who could not sustain interest in her song until the end of the 90 seconds.
If Pia had shown some versatility, she would have made it. And if Simon were there she would have left far earlier. The first week in LA, Simon would have excoriated her: “look, Pia. You have an excellent voice. But you stand there like some Celine dion or Barbara streisand from the 1970s. It’s BORING. You are not Current. No one is going to buy your records! You are only (25 or whatever) and you look like you are 55 standing up there!”. Wouldn’t he have???
America got it right, even if the judges drool over everyone.
This week they are choosing songs from the 21st century. Any picks you recommend for the top 7?
Lauren should do Taylor swift’s You Belong With Me. She is perfect for that bubbly yet heartbreaking song.
Haley - Great Escape by Gwen stefani
James - Your Sex is on Fire
Casey - You’re Beautiful
Little Ricky - The Scientist by Coldplay, guarantee he’d be here one more week
Jacob - All I Want is You
Scotty - since I don’t know country songs, I will just assume he will pick a good one.
She wouldn't eat anything once she stopped and she had a great appetite including a little dry cat food. She was fifteen and her weight loss was so fast and dramatic - she was disappearing before my eyes. It would not have helped to go three weeks earlier to the vet.
Dick Van Patten makes good wet cat food. Sasha wouldn't eat that either but my neighbor gave me some of that and my other cat loved it.
AMERICAN IDOL NEWS: Paul MacDonald is dating NIKKI REEVES. Who the heck was she? Was Nikki from another season?
I think it changed when FR took on this newer style that bogs down so bad all the time. Plus they still haven’t gotten their (can’t think of the word I want, but their older threads from years ago available)
Yeah I looked through the ingredients of his products but they only had one can and no dry that doesn’t have chicken in some way in them. Sometimes these companies, Van Patten included hide it under ‘natural flavorings’. They use chicken because it is cheap, but they do owners a disservice by not telling you what that ‘flavoring’ is.
Its Nikki Reed and she’s from Twilight.

This proves that I don’t know any songs from the “21st century.” I probably won’t enjoy this week as much; I like to hear songs I know...
