After a few seconds I was sure that Casey would be going home.

He should have gone home. He was absolutely HORRIBLE!!! I don't know how the whole season has gone or who went home before him, but I'm amazed he got this far. Maybe it's because he plays instruments?

Casey is unique and has a great bluesy voice when he is strong and healthy. He was filled with promise at the start. He definitely deserved to be in the top 10 or whatever. That’s why the judges used their one Save on him.

However, since then, not only has he been very ill (who knows how many hospitalizations and blood transfusions he has received now), but he has made some poor choices in his performances. He has chosen to GROWL a lot (not this last week so much) to the point of sounding like a wolf (he already looked like one). He also chose to grimace and make snarling faces that looked only humorous and like it wasn’t taking himself or his song seriously.

He has been very weak, like this week, where his effort appeared to be about at 60%, but if I were bleeding out of my tushie all day I’d probably be weak too. So I give him a little pass on his weakness.

He had promise, he is talented, but he is losing it.

He and Haley are supposed to be an item, and he appears to have passed on his permanent growl to her. She now growls for 45% of her songs. Who knew it was sexually transmitted?

The eye blinks and frowns are from James’ Tourettes Syndrome. (He also has Asperger’s.) He is blessed that he seems to be freed from them while he sings and performs. I completely agree with you that he will be in the finale and could win it, BECAUSE he does not forget the audience. He is so good.

Ironically, the one to whom he is most compared, Mister Adam Lambert, PROMPTLY forgot his audience when he left Idol. He gay-hammed it up SO FAR that all the teen girls and grandmas who had voted for him left in disgust. I do not think James will be that foolish!

My young boy cat whom I found outside six years ago when he was tiny, is afraid to be on the back porch now. It occurs to me that unbeknownst to me, Fema felt safe out there when Sasha was on the porch. I had no idea that he wouldn't go out there if she wasn't around.

He stands mid-way up the back stairs and looks out to the porch but he won't go out there. She must have been a mother figure to him although he hid it well from me.

I looked at pics of Sasha from early March. She was not extremely thin then. Her weight loss came on quite suddenly and severely. I calculated that she was 15.

Finally, I think she hated the last results show and didn't want to finish out the rest of the season with AI because the judges are too soft.

Sasha was the World's Most Beautiful Cat (in my world.)

Sasha was fifteen years old. The voicemail at the vet office said open at 7:00 am. The vet wasn't to arrive until 9:00 am. The vet tech was kind enough to take Sasha in the back to look her over. The vet tech explained that Sasha was in bad shape (duh). Intensive care would have been the only option and well, as soon as I brought her home, she would have stopped eating again. I think she had multiple problems but was not outwardly sick until about mid-March.

That place showed me their estimate which was like for a mechanic and between that estimate and the vet not being there, they gave me The Humane Society phone number. They handled the sad duties for $50.00 at The Humane Society, I had plenty of time to clip a lock of hair, hug her until she kicked w/her back legs and wanted back in her carrier. Another woman there was petting her too. The Humane Society also gave me a pet sympathy card that I opened today.

The two remaining cats are missing Sasha in their own way. The Humane Society is by our concert hall. It will be different going to rehearsal by Sasha's last stop.

I'm not one to pray for pets but I was praying that I could keep driving us from 6:00 am in the dark until we found The Humane Society hours later. I had lack of sleep and food, I would pet Sasha through the front of her carrier and we listened to Mozart for Relaxation during the long drive.

Thank you for your concern.

Awww. Your young boy cat is mourning too. Give each other some hugs and purrs. So sad.

I think a lot of us would love for you to post a pic of Sasha. Maybe you could put one on photobucket or somewhere and post it here. We would love to see her. G-d bless.

I’m terrible w/image host sites. I’ll find her fluffiest picture, email it to our AI host to post (after I find it and scan it). She was very fluffy when she was 3.

I suppose if you try hard enough you can find away to make any artist fit, either through covers or re-releases. Some might be easier than others, but the themes for the most part can be worked with.

Take next week’s theme, songs from the 21st century. They could look for an older song that was re-released in the past 11 years.

That would be a perfect use for sign. I wonder if there’s ever been a study on that type of use.

I pretty much agree with your assessment. I can’t watch Jacob much and wouldn’t be bothered by him leaving next.

I like when Casey plays the bass, but, too often he goes to far into jazz for my liking.

James is fun, though to me he has had a couple of performances that I didn’t like at all.

Is James gay? If so, he isn’t obvious about it. As for Adam Lambert, he never forgot his audience. He was never on AI for any other reason except to push his emo flamer lifestyle on a broad American audience. He is, quite possibly, the single best singer/performer to ever be on the show, but he lives and performs amongst and for the emo flamer crowd, both here and abroad. He’s not interested in anything mainstream. His whole AI thing was about making a statement for gays.

I put the grow at the feet of the judges. When they told both Haley and Casey that they liked the growl, they should have added ‘when used properly and sparingly’. It was after the judges said they liked it that Casey started doing it in all his songs until the judges told him not to.

I don’t think James will forget his fans either, especially since he said he doesn’t like being compared to Lambert! lol

No, James is not gay. I think he has a child too.

No, Adam Lambert on AI was polite and respectful of the AI audience and though he was obviously gay he was not full on flaming ON THE SHOW. His first TV appearance post-Idol, though, he kissed and humped some guys. He went way over the top, not caring that he had a crossover audience of all genders and ages, and the more conservative of those dropped him. He is smart, though, and I believe that if he had that to do over, today, he would do it differently. To be popular, close to everyone has to enjoy your performances. He put “being out n’ proud” over that priority and he lost. (I remain a Lambert fan and forgive him for it, but still.)

The only real comparison between James and Adam is their amazing rock scream.

Intensive care would have been the only option and well, as soon as I brought her home, she would have stopped eating again.

But why would she stop eating? You mentioned again. Has she done that before? Didn't they say why? What other problems? Was she just old? Did she ever go outside? Could she have gotten into something bad?

Cats seem to know when something is wrong. We had a younger cat that was probably 7 or 8 months old, she came to us as a stray and got along with our orange tabby. We went to go out for my birthday and we opened the door to go out, she flew out, I turned to ask if my husband was ready, he said what's up with the cat, I turned around and she lay dead in the driveway about 8 ft away.

It was the most bizarre thing. We put her in a box to take her to the vet which is just a couple of blocks away, less than a mile. Our orange tabby looked inside that box and jumped up into the air and away as fast as he could. He knew. Vet said she had one die that way the previous fall. She said sometimes they have a bad heart and you just don't know til it happens. We had her cremated ($20.00) and she sits on a shelf in the living room. I know that probably seems odd to some.

If Adam had ever made room for a more mainstream audience in his life, he would have had a truly great career. People with his talent don’t come along often. He already had done featured roles on Broadway. He never needed Idol. He could have had a movie career, a Broadway career, and a recording career. Instead, he migrated from Broadway to performing in emo gay venues. He toned it down only somewhat for Idol. I, too, am a fan of his immense talent, but wish he’d have stayed relatively mainstream in those few years before he ever got on Idol. But he made his choice, and we in the mainstream are not his chosen audience.
