Steven and Jimmy’s influence/pull?
Wish I could just vote for the guitar solo tonight!
Lauren, Scotty & James were my favorites tonight.
James was harshin’ his mellow, maaaaan.
I wonder how James got him to play with him.
Possibly. I’m not really a fan of the kind of music that’s on the show, so this is the only time you’ll see me on this thread.
Pickler II She is stronger than Mylie. (not like that's difficult, but ) I rather liked it. Shame she got attacked by the toole monster. Rawrrr!
Little Ricky The End of the Road? Another prophetic AI song selection? Not my style of music, but it was solid. For what it was.
Scotttay Game over. Give him a contract. I'll buy. I'll buy. Plus I love this song. It makes me all misty-eyed.
Mr. Gnocchi Alfredo I heart that stringed bass. Heart it really, really hard. He could go home with this one, but I really liked it. I'm with Randy - brilliant! Genius!
Hayley That dress. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? Looks like a glittered up paint-by-number project. Performance wise, I love the song, so I guess I'm biased. But I liked it.
The Man in the Mirror Had it on mute while I debated with my spouse over what year the song was written. 1969, fwiw, but released in 1970 on S&G's final album.
James Had to mute it. Not in the least bit entertaining. And I like metal.
Best of the night: Gnocchi Alfredo, Scottay and Pickler. James is probably going home. Which is ok, because if I want to hear great rumbling deep in my soul rock from an AI contestant, I'll listen to Daughtry. KTHXBAI.
Mine too!
Gotta toss Casey up top, too.

We're not exactly fans either, so you'd be among friends if you did stick around.
I'm generally not either, but our thread is really fun! I probably wouldn't even watch the show if it wasn't for the thread.
Doing ok. Wish you could join us. :)
Seriously, I always thought Zakk was the kind of musician who would sooner kick an Idol contestant in the nuts than play on stage with them!
I looked to see if he was with Interscope and found this where he mentions an interview with them.

Typo: Toole should be Tulle.
I heart James! Love his voice,2nd up Scotty.
Man what a variety of music on one night
Before I switched the channel to South Park I heard Christan Slater say, “Greetings and salutation.” Yes, I swooned a little.
(He probably still does, but Im guessing he was paid for the gig)
In the pimp spot, James' choice is Sammy Hagar's title song from "Heavy Metal".
Jimmy and the guys caution him not to do metal on Idol.
But I must, says James.
James: I have such a deep seeded passion for my music, I want to make the decisions.
More manipulation. But this is pretty good. James is joined on stage by guitarist Zack Wylde.
J-Lo: That felt really, really REAL! I don't know what these performances sound like at home, but here they are killing it dead! We can have a Country idol, we can have a pop idol, we can have a metal idol
Randy: I'm happy you stuck to your guns. Durbin rocks! Durbin rocks! Durbin rocks!
Steven: Outstanding, Durbin! Zack, man, great as usual.
Seacrest reads off James' voting number. "I feel like I should be giving them your number too, Zack."
