Dear Cathy: How do you train a cat to stay out of a crib? Were about to have a baby and I dont want the cat getting into the crib at night?
Erlene
Dear Erlene: To discourage your cat from getting in the crib before the baby comes, place double-sided tape (available at pet stores) or aluminum foil in the crib. When the cat jumps in, he or she wont like the texture and will most likely jump out. After a few attempts, your cat should stop trying to get into the crib. Of course, please remove the foil and tape from the crib when your baby arrives.
However, the best way to keep your cat out of the crib is to make sure the cat is not in the room when you leave it, then close the door and use a monitor to listen for your baby.
>>>Kel-Tec PMR-30 with hollow points, .22 mag. Just sayin...
WIth a Laser sight to do a little tormenting first?
(for those who are truly humor-impared, this is sarcasm)
I think my dogs are smarter than the cats. The problem is they don’t particulary care if they get the mole, they just like to dig.
The kitty in the pic was saved, and the tape was safely removed from her. It was a story from a while back, but I don’t remember exactly when.
It really is a gut-wrenching picture.
My 2 don’t like to be bound for cuddles =(. They DO enjoy walking and laying on me but being touched, not so much!
That’s a real pic? I thought it was photo shopped! How cruel.
KNOCK IT OFF!
Yes, but the kitty was all right, thank God, the vet, and the observant lady who rescued her.
I’d be damned before I’d have a cat and an infant living in the same house. Give the cat to someone who would love and appreciate it. (obviously not you, TSgt). But do not keep a cat with an infant.
Gotcha:

Cat-abuse humor is old and a respected tradition....I have never killed a cat, BTW. Just joking...
I thought it was a funny response to the original post! Not at all inappropriate.
Hey BuckyKat, let’s clear this post out with a truce from our FReeper mail OK?
Aren’t you nice to go to all that trouble.
Thank you so much.

You know, cat abuse humor doesn’t work if there is no rightous indignation that follows.
You are OK Bucky, freepers enjoy humor, most freepers do anyway! :D

Well, OK, that is one way to look at it.... <: <:
My Grandpa would have said get a Remington 870 to take care of the cat. (He disliked cats immensely)? I've never owned a cat but I don't dislike them. But if I found one on my Daughter's crib it would have been an ex-cat. Its just creepy... especially when you consider the old wives tale about cats stealing the baby's breath.
Absolutely. No offense intended or taken.
True....had that book, 101 uses for a dead cat. Couldn’t publish that today.
