Yes, you can! We had thunderstorms yesterday and lots of rain and then the sun came out. It looks like another storm is on its way now. Not far from here in Kentucky, they are having awful floods and Arkansas has had rain and tornadoes and 9 people have died.
And then there’s Texas burning down. Its weird, isn’t it? Are your fires under control now, Luvie? We don’t understand it but someone else makes the decisions on that and we have to trust HIM I guess!

I love to watch and listen to the ocean. I think its the most hypnotizing and comforting thing. But I like a little warmer weather so I can walk along the edge of the waves.

I think that most of them are at least partially contained,but the wind is extremely high today. Purt near blew me off the road coming home from work. Ugh!

Since "O" took office, gas prices have risen over 100%. When I crossed the State line from AZ to CA, I wanted to get gas. Here is what I found:
GAS IN NEEDLES, CALIFORNIA - April 24, 2011
Soooooo.....
I turned the car around, drove exactally two miles back across the border into AZ, and here is what I got:

$1.27 difference
two different states
Just TWO MILES APART!
Something REALLY fishy is going on!

With your car 'trouble', maybe you'd better consider flying...(if you don't mind walking barefoot where a thousand others have before you, hands probing your personal items in your carry-on, getting groped in an abusive manner and x-rayed, birds hitting the engine, the pilot might be drunk, a hole might blow out part of the plane, bed-bugs getting into your luggage and laying a million eggs, the comptroller falling asleep at the airport tower, or the man sitting next to you can't stop coughing..........AND, he's wearing a turban!) THEN, you'll LOVE flying! LOL!

Tell it to STAY away from Paducah, KY for the next 5 days please. The annual Quilt Show is there, and my dear hubby is taking me tomorrow, so I can drop my jaw and gaze in wonder at the wonderful fabric Art, some that took years to create. That I could only dream of, I'm only a youngster at the art.
Janome Best of Show award at the 2010 AQS Quilt Show & Contest in Paducah, Kentucky, went to Sue McCarty, Roy, Utah, “Tribute to Tolkien.“
