"There's an app for that."
The catchphrase coined by Apple and their advertising gurus to sell iPhones and iPads has become so ubiquitous that it's even been parodied on Sesame Street. Still, few would have ever thought that the tech giantwhich, like many other Silicon Valley concerns, boasts a progressive profile on many cultural issues, and extends domestic-partner benefits to gay and lesbian employeeswould condone an app that purports to "cure" homosexuality. It would seem an even greater stretch for Apple and company founder and CEO Steve Jobs to make such an application available through its iTunes store.
Yet the appby a ministry group called Exodus Internationalis right there, along the thousands of other iPhone apps available to plugged in Apple users. And this appears to be the point at which many of Apple's cultish fansincluding plenty of gay activistsare drawing the line. No, they say: There's not actually an app for that.
The Exodus ministry seeks to promote the "ex-gay" movementpromulgating the testimony of people who claim to have been cured of homosexuality through Christ. The target audience for the smart-phone app, its makers say, are "homosexual strugglers." The idea is to teach gay people that they have a choice when it comes to their sexuality, a choice to choose "freedom from homosexuality through the power of Jesus."
Of course, providing a tech platform for a particular spiritual or ideological movement doesn't signify an endorsement of its point of view. At the same time, however, as Gawker's Ryan Tate noted during an earlier controversy over a gay-themed app, "every time Apple approves an app, it implies moral endorsement of the

Apple is the world’s premier public corporation. What kind of priority should we expect them to give to crazy claims like this one?
That would cure them!
Cure homosexuality? Can a heterosexual be changed into a queer? Are these things as easily interchangeable as all that?
PING!
Homosexual get as angry about ex-Homosexual as Muslims get as angry about ex-Muslims
Am I the only one who finds this ironic? The whole claim of Christianity is that He enacted the biggest and most Earth-shaking Change[.org] ever: the cutting of the chains of sin's enslavement of man.
It is sinful behavior, (like drunkeness or over-eating) and can be alleviated by faith in Jesus Christ and the power of His healing grace.
People are predisposed to all kinds of behaviors - doesn't mean we have to live our life like that,(esp. when God is quite clear how He wants us to behave and not behave).
So the homosexuals are opposed to somebody choosing their own sexuality. How bigoted and heterophobic.
You tell me... can you choose who you will be or are you a slave to your instincts and feelings.....It seem that homosexuals have adopt something similar to to the black/ white "One drop of blood" test...your gay if you ever has one confused feeling
The truth is all build two sexual model in their head ...What they want... and ... What they want to be ...
Some kid confused for even a moment even a bit of ...what they want to be... with.. what they want... and today "enlighten" say their gay
“Can a heterosexual be changed into a queer?”
You’d be supprised by what a male homosapian will will do considering opportunity or lack of.
We need to be careful inferring something is easy just because there's a cure.
To put it mildly, our sexuality is quite complex. What I find so interesting is science still doesn't support the born-that-way theory; rather, science supports environment as a major factor in determining our sexuality.
If only we (the nation, the world) could discuss the facts without the politics.
I believe it is likely more nurture than nature but I also believe that people that say being gay is a choice are wrong, (not bad or evil, just wrong) because I have yet to hear any straight person (myself included) tell me when they made the conscious choice to be straight.
Does Apple have a Bible app?
If so they already carry an app to cure homosexuality.
The details are right in the Bible

That's an important point many talk right over. I think if people slowed down long enough to discuss the issues, there would more light than heat generated and I also think many or most would agree with you.
Where the confusion stems, I believe, is that many mean the behaviour is a choice, not the same-sex-attraction and when they don't clarify their position they lose some of their audience.
Now, I have to clarify something myself. When I say same-sex-attraction isn't a choice, I mean that for most cases. The only reason I bring this up is because there is an adamant group who claim to have chosen their same-sex-attraction. I'm referring to the Queer by Choice group.
For the vast majority of those with same-sex-attraction, I believe the evidence supports it's not something they choose, but at the same time they are not born-that-way. It's not a topic that can be easily understood with only a cursory look at the evidence.
That’s odd because I grew up with two kids, one male and one female, on my street. Both attended church, were well versed in the Bible.
Both are gay, and Gordon (the male) just “married” his....boyfriend somewhere back east.
