When wealthy French bachelor Louis Mantin demanded that nobody touch his lavish mansion for 100 years after his death, even the occupying German army paid heed.
The eccentric recluse, who died in 1905, wrote in his will that he wanted Maison Mantin, in Moulins, Central France, to be turned into a museum dedicated to himself and his gentlemanly lifestyle.
His vision was for visitors to experience his world a century on, uncorrupted by the passing of time. In doing so he ensured he was not forgotten.

I have one complaint about the Daily Mail. They post some fascinating articles I would love to forward to my 11 yo daughter, but so many of the photos and headlines on the sidebar are too lurid.

‘Maison Mantin?’ Big, hairy deal.
We have ‘Les Palais du Poulet’ at my farm.
That’s fancy-pants French for ‘Chicken Coop’! :)
(Beautiful house, though...)

All of them?Seems almost like a divide by zero situation. They get into an argument, one side surrenders, the other side surrenders, then they get into a fight over who gets to surrender, before you know it, they are killing each other over who gets to surrender.

Probably did. You don't seriously think nobody had been in there in a hundred years?

You might try cutting and pasting just the story and pics into an e-mail and sending it or printing it out.

Because refugees have, historically, been noteable for not stealing everything in sight when nobody’s looking.

I just buried the two river frogs from my Koi pond yesterday.
[”winter kill”...took out everybody except two Koi/Comet hybrid babies]
Dead frogs don’t seem very amusing to me.
