I restarted the computer a while ago and when it booted up about 2/3 of my desktop icons have a blue Facebook symbol on them. Spybot didn't find anything at all, Avast says all is fine.
What is going on here? I allowed a flash player update early this morning, could the Facebook icons come in with that?
I don’t know about your symptoms, but Facebook is a serious security risk.
You might want to consider restoring your system to the last restore point.
FB is invasive, insidious......... and incredibly good at what they do (to members).
Me, too.
Was the update from the flah player website? I mean if it was an Adobe update, did you install from the Adobe website?
If not, you prolly picked up a bug.
Note: I haven't tried it myself. I just Googled your problem and found lots of links.
Do not ever update flash player at any website always go to abobe website and check to see if you have the most recent version if not update from there.
This is a way to put hacks and things on your computer with your permission! Lots of video sites try this and the video wont play. I tell people if this happens you dont need to watch that video.
My humble opinion Facebook is for fools
Opps sorry about that clicked the wrong scree nname to post to.
Seems like every other day or so, I get a reminder to update Flash.
Seriously gettin old...
I already posted to the wrong screen name but to make sure you see this I will post to you.

Also a little tip I keep my Home on a separate partition or you can keep it on an outboard drive that way if you have to reinstall Windows you dont lose so much. I will say this if this happened to me I would format my drive and reinstall my OS but that just me lol.
It turns out all I had to do was dump temp files and restart. Ever since I started running SPYWARE BLASTER I haven’t had anything harmful get through, SPYBOT scans always come out negative or nearly so.
Facebook is the easiest way to keep up with my graduating class, I don’t have much use for it other than that.
My Fireox updated and asked me to update my Adobe Flash....I didn’t. I went to my Rush 24/7 to see make sure my Rushcam worked and I have no problems.
I must turn off my auto updates.
Great! I used to get so fed up with viruses, ad ware, spyware, I would just redo my whole hard drive. I haven’t used Windows since Win95 used to dual boot but run nothing but Linux now lol.
I haven't had a problem with it, but I use every security feature they have. No one can see anything I post, unless I want them to.
I’ve used SPYWARE BLASTER for several years now, it kills better than 99% of incoming garbage.
