This video of Jason Wood's goodbye to his best furry friend Oden is for anyone who's ever loved (and lost) a pet. It's beautifully shot and pretty much impossible to watch and come out on the other side with dry eyes.

i dont get it. He killed the dog because he was moving to a 5th floor apartment and the dog had only 3 legs?
I watched at work. Luckily no one’s around. We had to do that to our 14 year old Golden, Lady a few years back. My wife, daughters and I were useless messes for two days.
God bless our animal friends... they give us love and companionship in ways only they can.
They put the dog down because it was handicapped and the new pad had stairs. Completely unnecessary! If he had spent half the money he used to produce this BS documentary to find an adoptive home then that would be a real story.
Sorry Daffynition. No tears here, just anger at a two bit loser for murdering his faithful friend.

No, the dog was staying with his friend because he had moved to a fifth-floor walkup. But he put the dog down because it was in chronic pain.
I agree—the narrator is not a likeable figure. But I know what it’s like to put a beloved friend down because nothing could be done medically to lighten their intractable pain. This did make me cry and hug my dogs. How I will cry when my beautiful, brilliant, sweet dog dies! God’s great gift to us.
It's a life changing experience & so heart breaking.
I have 2 mini dachshunds, Oscar & Buck. I love them so much & I don't want to even think about it - but I hope that I'm strong enough when their quality of life is unbearable - that I'll be strong enough to do what is needed for them.
That video was a real tear-jerker for me!

That was hard to watch.
Why would anyone who cares about a loved one film and publicize their death?
Someone contact Hussein’s fan club at Snopes and tell them that snuff films do exist.
It’s always so heart wrenching. But it needs to be done. It’s a sadness that never leaves you, IMO
It’s part of the responsibility of pet ownership. And never the most pleasant part.
This is a grief between family and close friends. It’s too emo-esque for me. Perhaps the owner felt guilty and produced it. It’ll probably parlay into a book deal, appearances on Oprah, et al.
My constant companion for 14 years, Val, died on 12/27/10 at 7 PM of congestive heart failure in the arms of my sobbing 24 year old daughter surrounded by his family. We all cried.
My daughter created a photo album of Val’s pics which we placed by his urn in the family room. He is always with us.

I have a similar problem with FoxNews videos and similar ‘news’ videos. I can ONLY play them in Google’s Chrome browser. They absolutely will not load in my main browsers, Firefox and IE.

Reminds me of my nephew and his dog. They grew up together. He got the pup when he was about 3. The dog dies about 12 years later of old age problems. It was family and it is still missed.
Dogs are a gift to mankind. No other animal will love unconditionally like a dog does.... Dog is God spelled backward.
I had a St.Bernard that was the best friend I ever had.
I cried when she died. I cried for two days.
